This app is GREAT for creating awareness of racial diversity, and the difference between what a person perceives themselves as and what those of us looking from the outside-in perceives a person as. I absolutely LOVE this app!

Fun and addictive. started playing At work and within the hour four co-workers had downloaded the app. Are we psychic or racist? Only the app. knows for sure.

I think whites get mad when people say "they" are privileged, w/o understanding that it doesn't mean you are rich and get everything handed to you. It just means not having to deal with things like being followed in a store. And the app is accurately called "What's your Race" because that is what the person conducting this experiments asks. NOT "What is your ethnicity?"The app does dispel quite a few stereotypes concerning whites; "White men can't jump, or dance". Yes whites do have disadvantages, like being poor and not being able to afford college, because of the small number of white scholarships.

People really got me down reading the reviews, talking about stupid unnecessary things.. The game isn't racist, it's how YOU as a PERSON take it. &' saying stuff that no one cares about like 'no such thing as a race?' or "you're either American or not'. Man, shut up! You guys are just full of it, think you know everything, yeah. YOUR COOL! COOL STORY BRO! TELL IT TO SOMEONE WHO CARES. Ugh, I think thhis is simply.. Beautiful! But what does it matter, I'm not American, according to a wise person on the Internet. & people who get offended, or start talking nonsense.. Get over yourself . Seriously. Sincerely, Your Favorite American!

I was amazed that this was actually an app. As an anthropologist I am offended by this app. First off race is not a biological reality it is a social construct that tried to tie climate clinal groups with culture and intelligence to make Europeans look better than all other cultures. There is not a "pure" race and all traits can be traced back to Africa through mtdna. We are the color we are because through evolution from primates to homo sapiens sapiens we lost all the long thick hair that protected us from ultra violet rays. The human body developed darker pigments in areas of intense uv radiation. That's it. As a majority we are trying to remove the concept of race but when there are "games" like this out there that continues this false paradigm we are back to square one.

I really was very interested in the subject matter, but honestly wonder if the developers really know what they're doing. For example, when is agnostic a race or since when is being an American synonymous with being Caucasian? Sorry, I have to delete.
