Can't access the function for generic calling (if there is one). Maybe it's simply that too much caffeine makes me edgy but an app without a key pad is wick wick whack.

**EDIT** Unfortunately the app is currently broken for me. Messages sent via Gtchat will be received in Google Hangouts, but responses are not syncing with Gtchat. Have tried re-syncing the app and uninstalling/reinstalling. It's a shame, and I hope this is fixed soon! As an iPhone 4 user I have desperately searched for an application that allows me to access Google Hangouts. With the minimum requirement of IOS 8.0, I figured I was out of luck. Fortunately, this app exists! In a pinch the app does what I need it to. It enables me to communicate with contacts through Google Hangouts - albeit as individual conversations. Below are my recommendations to really make this application shine: - Paid option with no ads - Ability to send multimedia via chat (pics/GIFs etc) - Conversation Sync (existing google conversations are loaded into the application when your Google account is synced) - Group chat When at least 2 of these features are added, I will update my rating!

The app is very not well designed it does not save messages that you send your friends and it is really just a bad app use regular Hangouts

I like the app my friends have google hangout and with an iPhone 4 I couldn't communicate. luckily I found this app but can you allow calls to google hangouts too? It would help a lot.
Works but Needs Some Improvement

App does what I need it to and works well with google chat. Note, this app does save messages in case you have "messages offline" on the desktop version. Additionally, the app does not allow you to set your status to red/busy which comes in handy when you step into meetings and can't immediately reply back to message. The app shows you as available implying your available.

I look at the app and it looks amazing I have all my contacts and it has lower storage but... I have my friend that I only had on messenger (I got rid of my fbook) and she's on here... Does This take your messenger contacts?
Decent app, need way to get rid of ads!

Please give us a paid-for version to get rid of ads, my tween son needs this app on his phone but many of the ads are inappropriate!
