If I could give 0 stars, I would...

forgot2think2day

I love paying for missing messages, notifications that are delayed and a very antiquated platform. Time to cancel.. And I've been a member since its launch. Other apps have at least slapped a fresh coat of paint on theirs. Growlr is the same ugly color too. Time to give up and go elsewhere. They don’t respond to any complaints. Absolutely useless! 2/19/20... these SOB’s suspended my account randomly without any prior notice or explanation. Time to consult with a legal expert...

Worse app ever

bear2515

App crashes a lot and is now suspending everyone I know. I think the days of this app have come to an end.

Latest version is just bad - really bad.

No_Neck

Ever since they sold this app it has gotten worse and worse. The latest version has so many connection problems. Things take way too long to load. Sometimes, messages don’t appear for hours or even days. Notifications on iPhone are incorrect - they are doubled - so if you receive a message it shows up in notifications as two messages...two messages show up as four messages, etc. They still insist on playing ads with audio at full blast - it’s a social app folks - people are often looking at it when they are at work or in a private or quiet place - not a great thing to have an ad blasting out of your phone. As I’m writing this review I received a message that my account has been suspended. I wasn’t even doing anything in the app. It was just open. Checked with a friend and his account also was suspended. Looks like someone doesn’t have a clue how to administrate this app at the home base. There are just too many social apps there for this to continue. Wake up folks - you’re ruining this app.

Overrun with fake accounts

NickME646

This app is overrun with fake accounts. Whenever I see fake accounts I report them, but no good deed goes unpunished: the GROWLr admins suspended my account, apparently because I was reporting the fakes too frequently. If they did their jobs, I wouldn’t have to.

Love this app!

KeithnCinci

I deleted it recently with a slew of all my online accts but I missed this one so I added it back. Only complaint is that when using my hotspot in my iPhone it drops the text space too low to get it to engage so I can't use it while hotspot is on. I still love it, and the guys here, anyway...

Suspended Account? When I haven’t done anything?

stormofthesatyr

Was working fine earlier then all of a sudden I got a message saying that my account is suspended? I haven’t uploaded any pictures nor have I talked to anyone to get suspended. I hope this is an error. Already contacted Support, awaiting reply.

Suspended Service

Cjizzel2008

Why has Growlr stopped working and suspended all there users?

Happy customer until now.....

TysonLove7

I have been using this app for couple of years now and had no issues until I received a message popped up saying my account was suspended?!? I was like how was this possible?!? I have never had this problem for couple of years until now! Yes the messages messed up often but it’s free (not a pro member) so I couldn’t complain about it

Horribly outdated

Bachliebhaber

This app is the bear411 of social media. Hopelessly outdated. Their preferred clientele seems to be right-wing closet cases. There are better apps out there. Use them instead.

Crappy app / customer service

rackmaster

Service is constantly down, and when it’s not it’s slow. Just logged me out and said I was suspended, then immediately said service is down - I.e., they’re probably getting hacked. Doesn’t sync across devices, so if you start a convo on iPad and want to move to iPhone, you can see the history. UI / UX For this app is poor. Besides the dated interface, there’s too many things that don’t work. For example when searching it gives you options that you can’t use, like searching for a user within a region. Why display them if you can’t use them? It’s not a pro feature. When you asked customer service for help, they insist you did something wrong or the iPhone is adding extra spaces! It’s just really clunky. So many problems. Not sure how it keeps getting through Apple approval.
