- Need help identifying a plant? We can help there too! Upload a photo and tag it as “Help me Identify” to have local experts and the GrowIt! Team take a look at it.
- Search for specific plants, users, comments and trends with the search feature. Even if you only know part of a plant name, GrowIt! can help you out.
- Rate photos of plants from your area! Anonymously give plants a “Leave It”, “Like It” or “GrowIt!” rating to let your neighbors know how their photos look.
- Create projects to sort and organize your favorite plants by where you want to use them.

I was expecting more from this app when I first downloaded it. I thought I’d be able to at least chat with other gardeners in my area to share ideas and experience. However, all I found where a bunch of (poorly taken pictures) of plants asking for help to identify them. Don’t get me wrong, this is a good feature and I was going to answer one of them, but you can only pick from predetermined options for what the plant is. With so many unique varieties of heirlooms and hybrids, these options are significantly lacking. I wish I could at least put in a request to add a new option, or, better yet, just let me provide my answer right away after typing it in. I just really wish there was just more to do in this app. It really isn’t that hard to add more. It should allow you to post more than simple questions and pictures of plants. There should also be a limit to how many pictures of the same plant one person can post along with a guide on how to take a decent picture that would help to identify the plant: including a clear close up of leaves, flowers, seeds, fruit. But most of all, I just want some sort of message system. I’m sorry, but right now this app is very poor and not useful. It needs more, but it is the only app out there for “social” gardening.

I like the idea and the community is quick to help but I’ve had a project and pictures waiting for admin approval and there’s not even a way to contact for support except to come here and mention it I guess. I can’t update a project without a plant and I can’t add a plant without approval. Just kinda frustrating.

Love my plants
I loved this site from the start, I love plants! Sent “GrowIt” to most contacts- aprox 30-50. If they don’t join you, it’s their loss! I hope they do!

I’ve recently became really into plants and being able to share my collection with others is great! I would like if we could have multiple pictures per plant, as of now you can only post one picture per plant so if I were to post an update of the progress of a plant it would have to register it as a “new plant”. Also my projects aren’t registering, with a few more updates I think it could be much better.

I love this app the only thing is that there’s kinks they have to fix. For example I added a few plants and two of them have been stuck on waiting for approval for a few weeks not sure why. I also started a project and it’s stuck on private I tried to put it public but it doesn’t seem to work. Aside from that I do like this app

I have been waiting over a month for someone to “Approve” my plant. I loved this app until I realized nobody was keeping up with it. Sad. I was really looking forward to sharing the app with others.
App Crashes; won’t open

I’m on the latest IOS version, IPhone 8 Plus, restarted, Wifi turned on & off. Happens after FB login confirmation- app starts to open and crashes ?.

You cannot upload photos from your phone, which leads to users taking terrible, blurry photos with the apps camera. How can we correctly identify the plants if the whole image is out of focus?
