I have tried many, many grocery list apps and most are overly complex and visually distracting. Groceryx has just the right features, and it's easy to use. The developer is responsive and open to suggestions.

Just downloaded this app since I was looking for a grocery app that would divide food into categories. This one does that plus I can do them by Isle and move the Isles around to suit how I shop so I can just go down the list. I like that I can also share my lists with my Husband if I need him to grab stuff on his way home. The app does everything I was looking for plus it looks appealing.
App doesn't sync

Unfortunately the app won't synchronize across multiple phones correctly and it keeps resetting the list into uncategorized, and shuffling aisles. :(

I started using this app because INeedStuff wasn’t updated anymore, and crashed on my iPhone. This seems to work well until you try to sync lists with another phone. At that point the app starts reshuffling aisles, changing the associations between aisles and items, and even creating new aisles out of the blue. I went to add something to my list this morning and found new items that neither I nor my wife had never added to the list, and a new aisle (“CostCo”) had appeared overnight. My guess is that when I started syncing my list with my wife, some signals got crossed and I’m not syncing with some random user who is probably just as frustrated as I am the her/his list keeps changing. I’m going to look for (yet another) shopping list app.

I was looking a for simple, easy to use app for grocery shopping. I am so happy to have found this one. It's easy to add items. Easy to assign to a grocery isle or section of the store. I can choose between seeing everything, including already checked items or switch to see only the items on my list that I still need to get. I can add more categories/isles if I want, although they already have all the grocery isles built in. This will come in handy at other types of stores. I can also create separate lists for different stores. Plus the huge bonus of no annoying ads!! I would love to be able to scan bar codes for easier entry but I can do without that just for the ease of use.

Love the sharing of the lists between family or roommates. I add an item and immediately it appears on everyone's list. So easy to check off as you put it in the cart. Clear and very organized. We run three diff lists for our three main stores. Works perfectly. Thank you!

So easy to use between shared lists. Changes do show up immediately! Used to have another app that would take its time updating, if it did at all. And Groceryx has no in-app purchases! Brilliant! And my thanks to out to its developer.
