I wish someone had reviewed this before me.

At $10.99, I had to think twice, three times, likely a fourth time, and maybe even a fifth time before pulling the trigger on this title, which nary a review can be found on the web for. Why did I buy? I'm a sucker for simulations and the developer has a history of making quality titles on other platforms. Yes, other platforms. And it shows. The gameplay itself is not too shabby, but the things that make an iOS app an iOS app are missing entirely. It's almost as if they plugged the PC game into a converter and posted it on the app store. My issues follow: 1. The UI is horrendous. This game involves pushing a lot of buttons. Those buttons are... I've spent the better part of the morning trying to come up with something as small. Maybe an "O" as displayed on a screen? Yeah, that's about right. And they're not spaced at all. Half the time you try to hit something, you WILL inadvertently hit something else. It's not just the buttons, either, but the multitudes of "pushable" text. In trying to make this a full-featured game, they attempted to forego quality iOS UI design and instead just cram as much onto the screen as possible. 2. There is 0 documentation. After about four hours into it, I was starting to get the hang of things, but as mentioned previously, this game has great depth and a ridiculous number of options to choose from. None of those options are explained. There is no tutorial. There are some help dialogs for a few of the screens, but they only server to explain the obvious and do so in a font size that's near impossible to read without squinting. 3. "About four hours into it..." Yes, not only was I getting the hang of the gameplay via trial and error, but I was progressing nicely. Then it crashed. Apparently the game doesn't have an autosave feature like 99.9% of other iOS games. Crashes happen and [being an iOS developer myself] it's near impossible to find them all. PUT IN AN AUTOSAVE FEATURE. If there is one, I apologize, but it should be on by default and/or should be much easier to locate. Overall? The concept is there and the developers clearly know how to make a complex game, but they need to play a few more iOS games to see where they've gone wrong on this platform (Hint: Check out Football Manager... They're figured out the balance between complexity and usability when porting to this device).

Overpriced and disappointed

$10.99 is way too much for this app. It is certainly full featured. But, like was said above, the user interface needs a lot of work. This is still a worth-while app if you're into the management type games. One thing that has really disappointed me is the lack of save options. You can have only one 'career' going at a time. It also doesn't seem to save my progress. I'll work my way through the game for a little while, but if I close the append come back, I have to start all over. Nothing seems to get saved.

Lol

How this game use to be $10.99 is beyond me

Not worth downloading, even at the free price

The grammar is atrocious. It looks like description fields were never proofread. Despite virtually not explanation as to how to play, game play is not intuitive. I downloaded this because of the huge price drop from 10.99 to free-- I thought it was a holiday sale, but I think the drop happened because no one would pay for something so awful.

Hard to play

It's is almost impossible to know how to play.

Lead out. Man

Working lead out at a Florida track for four years I find the races in this game very exciting, graphics are very good. That being said I agree with the other reviewers the finer points of the game are very complicated, buying dogs, selling dogs, breeding dogs, so far it's all Greek to me. Wagering on the dogs and watching the races is worth the price of admission for me but understand I'm a greyhound track rat.
