great for studying for the GRE

I found this app super helpful and easy to navigate. I like the simplicity of it, the ability to search words, and make as many study sets as I want! Each term has 2 sentences to help you understand the term better because it is in context.

This is an edit of my first review (see below). Now that I've been using the app for awhile I've noticed the sentences often do a poor job of providing context for the word and in at least one case the word is used incorrectly. See "Investiture." The word has nothing to do with investing, yet the sentence leads you to believe that it does. ----------------------- (original review) Some reviewers have complained about the price of this app, but I recently paid $50 for a set of audio vocab CDs that contained only 600 words. My suggestion is to increase the number of words in the next release and then add tagging functionality so that you can raise or lower the frequency of certain words (or remove them altogether). For example, if I know the words "abate" and "banal" I would prefer they not come up in the flashcard shuffle or quizzes.

Badly Flawed

I've been studying for the GRE for months now and have tried dozens of prep books and software. They vary widely in quality but I've never come across one as bad as this app in terms of content that is so terribly INACCURATE. After going through less than half the material in this app, I had encountered so many mistakes that I just gave up on it. This thing is fatally FLAWED. I seriously doubt that the guy who made this has even gone to college and I'm absolutely certain that he has never taken the gre or gmat. The worst part is the example sentences. Many are very misleading and confusing, and some are just completely WRONG. Anyone relying on this app to prepare for the gre will most likely end up with a much lower score. Buyer beware!

This a very useful app. Can create custom study list. The audio is great. Some have complained of inaccuracies, and yes, there are some, but a part of my review is crossing it with other sources to reinforce. I really like the audio and hope they come out with other audio enhanced apps for other areas of the GMAT.
