Grab The Goodies

Grab the Goodies puts the “app” in Happy! It’s a fun and educational app developed by Responsibility.org in collaboration with the Simulation and Game Institute at The George Mason University, and a component of the Ask Listen Learn: Kids and Alcohol Don’t Mix program. The game helps kids (aged 6-9) learn about the negative consequences of underage drinking and encourages them to make healthy lifestyle decisions. As the players goes through the levels, they will be prompted to answer questions about how alcohol affects their bodies, the basics of good nutrition and the impact of healthy decisions. Kids will think that they’re playing, but they’re actually learning!

This app is a great tool to help teach kids about the benefits of leading a healthy lifestyle and avoiding underage drinking. It includes multiple choice questions and a fun interactive game which will help you start the conversation with your kids.

Teach your kids about alcohol responsibility

Grab the Goodies is an educational app that uses a mix of fun gaming with educational questions to teach kids useful information about under age drinking. It seems to be geared towards much younger kids than 12, although the questions are for older kids.

This fun and educational app is easy to play so that your younger elementary child can master the choices that the fun octopus has to make. The “goodie” choices are all examples of a healthy lifestyle. (healthy foods, sports, and good grades at school.) The “baddie” choices are examples of things that will cause unhealthy choices: alcohol, smoking, bad grades, being lazy, going to jail, etc.
