Google Photos is one of my essential apps. It helps me free up phone storage by automatically archiving pictures. If I want to automatically share photos of my family with friends, it will recognize our faces and add them to a shared album. Give it a try.

I was recommended to get this app by a friend to help manage my iCloud storage and honestly it has helped. It definitely does organize photos better and has better facial recognition of people. However though, I noticed that when I wanted to delete a photo from my google photos, it would delete from iCloud on all my devices. I wanted to use google photos so I could separate more memory and personal photos and my random stuff between just my regular photos and google. But there doesn’t seem to be a way where I can delete a photo from google photos without it deleting from my phone. I was recently informed by my friend that this app used to allow that but for some reason doesn’t do that anymore. She didn’t realize until I pointed it out. Due to this, the app remains kind of completely useless now and more like a duplicate of just my phone’s photos app. It would be very useful if there was an option to only delete from google photos and I would absolutely love if that became true.

I literally don’t see a single flaw with this app, it’s done nothing bad to me at all, all the people I know love it, and so do I, please get this app!!
