My iPhone X gets extremely hot when I’m in video call I didn’t use it when it’s in charging and use duo without my phones cover but although it gets hot Please help me or solve the problem

The app if great to be able to communicate with non iPhone users but man does it kill my battery. I can go from 80 to 30 within 10mins of using the app. Other than that it’s a good app.
