Keep now supports Dark Mode!

Ben C00

Google keep now supports native iOS Dark Mode in iOS 13. I haven’t had any technical issues when syncing notes or reminders as others have stated. Now, Google just needs to add Dark Mode to Gmail and Calendar!

Dont use on iphone

this app is not safe on iphone, all my notes of years were compromised, apparently they hacked the app even updating it in the app store, many notes appear blank and when I check the trash folder the info is complete, when you restore restore it returns and disappears the info when I check it in its original folder, I realized when I saw erratic movements of the notes constantly moving from one side to the other without stopping

Already doesn’t work

?NotSureAboutThisGame?

I just downloaded this to try to share a grocery list with my family, but it won’t allow me to add collaborators.

Great app buggy on iOS

Maany_a

A Fantastic minimal note taking app which works flawlessly on Android, but unfortunately it's buggy and slow on IOS... Everytime I want to add a new note it stops responding for a few seconds. It also happens when searching.... totally unusable...and I'm using the iPhone 11... it's strange as Google apps work fine on IOS and in some cases even bettet than Android (Google maps). All in all, I have switched to Microsoft Onenote which is really awesome and works perfectly on evey platform...

Good product but still buggy

I love Keep but there are still outstanding bugs that irritate me at times. - hitting the search button causes the app to crash - having two collaborators submit to the app at the same time causes the app to crash It would be great if you could add these features: - allow me to tag my keep items - bucketize or categorize things - I want to be able to bold things - I want to bullet subset of things in my notes Overall I like the concept of keep. Please KEEP it up.

Love it, but needs some work.

I love Google Keep. It’s the only reminder app I can find that is free and I can use on my Apple Watch. I enjoy use it and use it frequently but I would love a new update. There are features that are irritating such as having checkboxes for the entire list. I like to be organized, so I need to make checkboxes. But I have to create a new note if I want to divide my checkboxes into section. Example: Say I have a grocery list. I have a list for the poultry isle and for the frozen isle. Instead of being able to list it like this: ( • <represent checkboxes) ——————————— Grocery (title) Poultry •Chicken Frozen •Popsicles ——————————— I get this: ——————————— Grocery (title) •Poultry •Chicken •Frozen •Popsicles ——————————— See how annoying this is? I do not to make multiple notes because than it would be messy. Please update the app to have more workable features.

A few UX opportunities

JamasonJ

Overall this is a fine app for notes and checklists especially when considering the benefits of it being slotted into the Google ecosystem. However there are two UX issues that come to mind that stop me from being all that happy with it. The first is a lack of a platform standard left edge swipe gesture to return to the top level list view from an individual note. You’re relying on users to tap the upper left arrow. Not conforming to basic platform conventions makes this app stick out as being inconsistent. There must be another way to make a checklist item a “sub” item — it’s frustrating to constantly do this on accident. The second issue I see is the floating of the “add” and “more” icons at the bottom of the display when the keyboard is open. Users assume that toolbars floating above the keyboard relate to the task of typing. e.g. in the stock iOS notes app, quick actions to adjust type formatting. Instead, these icons have more to do with the overall note. The ... “more” icon would probably make more sense in the upper right next to archive. The add button might make more sense as a floating action button in the lower right, visible when the keys are hidden.

I love this app, but it keeps freezing while I’m drawing/writing with the apple pen.

Text notes that I create Apple Watch do not appear on the linked iPhone. after a few minutes, such text notes disappear from Apple Watch. I think there is a synchronization bug. Apple Watch works OK as a viewer.
