What happened to Good Guide?
Pjplum

When I first got this app a few years ago, I thought it was great! Now, I’m only giving it 2 stars instead 1 star because of its prior usefulness. Previously, on the products it rated, it gave comprehensive information on chemical, environmental, health, social, and ethical factors. Now there is virtually NO information other than a number which in my opinion is useless without the words to back it up. What happened??

Where is the food?
Ljoydam

Years ago, this was a great app. Now I wonder who owns it. I find it hard to believe for example, that Crest 3D toothpaste gets the highest score of 10. Probably just takes info from manufacturers now. And there’s no description as in the old days, further contributing toward skepticism. Worst of all: where the food? The only categories listed are Personal Care, Household, and Babies & Kids. I’m deleting it.

Needs update

I love the idea of this app and would love to use it. Most products I try to scan are not in their database.

Helpful in an overwhelming aisle
Lchowes

Good Guide has helped me to navigate some of the most overwhelming departments in the grocery store. I want to make informed choices for my family. G/G does just that, provides valuable information to help me make the best choice for my family. The library of results don’t always include what I am looking for or a brand that I recognize but there is always a number of options.

Needs ton of progress

Not very intuitive, and just tested 10 products to see no result in the database yet...

Biased to big companies - stay away
ad12349876

If you want a unbiased opinion stay away. How can Johnson and Johnson have better ratings than Burt bees or Honest company. They have some random way to exclude bad ingredients add long as it's within US limits or for data inadequacy (??)

inaccurate
morganm1128

i would have given it 0 stars

Not user friendly
Jennigo

Not intuitive or easy to use. Not easy or even somewhat easy to navigate. Information provided is simplistic and general. The filters, when you can find them, are basic and unwieldy. Doesn’t provide data on enough brands. People who go to the trouble to download an app to research product ingredients expect a sophisticated, detailed and user friendly product, not one that looks as if it were designed for 10 yr old users. Don’t waste your time.

What is this...
Kristen18630

1. The app said free, however said “payment processed” once downloading 2. I downloaded this to search skincare and not ONE product I wanted to research cams up I really hope I did not get charged for this bogus app.

Could be great, but misses the mark
klinn6181

I think there’s potential here, but the app isn’t easy to use and it gives virtually no information, making it almost totally unhelpful.
