Great trainer
Owl

Very interactive with keyboard. The chords are hard to play though. Please make the keys a little bigger. Thanks for a great addition to ear training.

Excellent app
Music Fry

Great app! I'm studying Jazz piano and I'm using goodEar now everyday. What I like most is the ability, to give the answer by piano AND multiple choice. This makes a big difference, because both methods train different musical skills. Another great thing is that it knows many scales and chords, that other ear training apps don't know….

Great!!!

This is exactly what I was searching for. It knows many many chords and scales. This is great for pop, or jazz musicians. I also like the "melody function". I really recommend it!!

Thumbs down
AlekzGracia

Just bought it, and it's not near to what I expected when I read the description. I thought I could choose a series of notes, or chords. I'll explain more... I don't want to distinguish intervals, I need to hear the notes, not the intervals. The same with chords, there's no use of distinguishing minor chords from major, what we need is to identify the chord. Not what I needed, and the description confused me... Total rip off!

Thumbs up!

The great thing about this app is, that I really can create my own exercises. It's very customizable. Right now I'm learning to hear the difference between several dominant chords. I can do that with this app.

love it

The best ear training app I've seen. Well done guys!

EXCELLENT

I am a music teacher and I must say this is an excellent app for students in ear training cases. Even for teachers to keep up with their skills. Can you please add chord progressions and longer melodic examples?!?!?! Excellent app

Great app!

Having Chord Progressions in all keys would be awesome.

Great app
Diarts

Loving the app so far, I just wish there was an option to remove the 5th of the chord when playing chords with an 11th and/or 13th extensions (specially when it's b13). A real piano player would remove the 5th (specially to avoid the b9 interval between 5th and b13th). Also it would be nice if you could add susb9 chords and dominant chord with both the 9th and 13th. Also if you could fix the range of the upper extensions so they aren't super high (like above C6 high). I think non root chord tones should be in the range of D3 to maybe E5 (max). I'm really loving the app though and these changes would make it great for me to use to train my upper structure ear, which is why I got the app.

Simple and effective
Bill Malchow

This app is nice and simple, no learning curve, straight and too the point. Some suggestions: 1) I would love to see chord progressions. 2) To be able hear intervals/scales/melodies in different timbres would be valuable. Like trumpet. 3) be nice if the tempo slider had a value shown so i could keep track of progress/speed. 4) I would like to shorten the time it takes between questions, maybe this could be a setting? 5) identification of tone against a chord. You play a random chord, then play a random note and you answer that the note is the 3rd, 4th #9 etc.
