The app worked amazing about a year ago, but I dont know whats happened that whenever I try to open my Mac app to use my iPad as a monitor, it crashes my mac and forces it to restart! Please fix this.

When I was away from home, trying to use my IPad as a 2nd screen, I installed the required-for-this-app Mac Desktop Streamer on my 2015 MacBook Pro. My machine would go through the startup bar slowly, not quite boot up, for five minutes or so after, and then turn off. I called Apple Care, they said no problem, there is a lot to try. EVERYTHING FAILED. Their only solution was to format the machine, from Apple’s end, losing ALL my data. Do not let this happen to you! Please do not use this program. I’ve never seen a Mac program totally force me to format and erase an entire machine. The only thing that mystifies me now is why Apple still permits this app on their service. Please take my warning seriously.
Constantly Kernel Panics

I saw a review that is titled “program destroyed my MacBook”. I can relate to this post, but not to that extent. This application makes my machine KP(kernel panic) everytime it’s started up. I sent an iMessage to support but has not responded. Also, this is the paid version. The application used to work well, and I see the updates notes stating that new iOS version (11) and Apple devices (iPhone and iPads) but not MacOS. I cannot give this application a good review or recommend as highly as I used to. Time to find a new application.

I use a macbook pro with 2 usb3 ports. I also own 2 iPads. Wouldn't it be better if it supported both displays simultaneously, imho.
very basic resolution support, terrible lag

so far this app just barely works— it’s more like a proof of concept than an actual product. It only supports landscape mode, and then only two (non-retina) resolutions. This wouldn’t be so bad except for the fact that it lags worse than AirDisplay, despite being connected directly over USB like Duet. I feel like i’m getting probably 5fps max, totally unusable for a second screen. I guess you get what you pay for. Fix the app and i’ll change my mind!
