This App tells you which fish are good to eat, along with some suggested recipes for cooking them, and which should be avoided based on whether they come from well-managed, sustainable stocks or farms, or not. MCS has also rated many restaurants and cafés that serve seafood allowing diners to make informed choices when booking a table and ordering. The guide includes almost every fish you could hope to find in UK shops, restaurants and markets, allowing you to make the best possible seafood choices.
Great idea and plan to try to use; however, first fish entered "Stripped Bass" was not listed - tried Rockfish as well - but not listed. Appears they may not be under threat but had to do my research to find that out- also noticed missing things like "Atlantic Blue Crabs" and "Pacific Dungeness Crab" and "Gulf Stone Crab" all missing. Could use a update to the fish and shellfish index.
really great app!! has a large data base (if lacking for sushi fish lol) and it's a really helpful tool for eating conservatively & not supporting overfishing!
