Times (and magnitudes) are off

Brad Goodman

LOVE the concept - but times are off by about 6 minutes - and visual magnitudes appear to be way off.

Works Perfect For Me!

BongoBarry

I noticed a few reviews saying the timing was off as I downloaded this app, but in the 36 hours I've had it, it's right on, even down to the SECOND the ISS came into sight on the most recent pass (about 10 minutes ago). I have it set for a 2 minute warning, and I've watched 3 passes tonight with the most recent being only 23 miles off from straight up! (Literally an awesome sight.) Excellent app!

Why no Maximum Magnitude?

Svenry

In the "Passes" view, it lists start & end times, peak altitude, peak time (the time when ISS is at peak altitude), and the range (closest distance to the viewer reached). But the listed magnitude is not the maximum magnitude. Instead, it is the magnitude seen at the end of the pass (determined by the minimum, viewable elevation set in the preferences). Why is this? Wouldn't the maximum magnitude be a much more valuable piece of information? Also, I wish the world map was of a higher resolution. Currently, it is not of much use other than to determine the general location of the ISS. An option to remove the ISS icon and display a simple dot instead would be welcomed. This is my favorite tool for planning and carrying out sightings of the ISS, but these issues (specifically the useless, listed magnitude in the "Passes" view) can be quite disappointing.

So-so, needs work for 4 or 5 stars

Daniel K K

1) Adding a new location doesn't update the "passes" list, so I can't find out when the ISS will pass over any other area than the one I'm in currently. 2) "Passes" list should have a filter to let you select only passes that are at a certain angle or duration. 3) "Satellites" list implies that it could include other orbiting objects, but none can be added.

Spammin me constantly with Pop Ups

Laron Von Baron

every single time I start the app I'm getting banners trying to sell me two of their other apps that I already own and have owned for quite some time I've tried to stop to send it appears there's no way to do so so even though your pay for this app you will still get spam spam spam

Works well for its simplicity.

Dr Creeps

More could be done to make this app look nicer, but it does what it does and it does it well. That's the important part and that's what its go.

GPS Always On or Never

Kinny Cornstalk

This may be a cool app, I don't know. In order to use it, it requires you to leave Location Services "always on," even when the app is not running, which will drain the battery. How do apps like that get approval by Apple? No thanks.

Not accurate

Copaseal

Nearly paid the $10.00 for the Satellite app but figured I would try the free version first. The only satellite the free version tracks is the ISS. While the app interface is ok, the location of the ISS was showing in Asia but a different app I use as well as tracking on a website showed it was actually over South America. If the free app is that incorrect, I certainly wouldn't recommend paying the $10.00 for the multiple satellite tracking app. I was really hoping this was better.
