slow, uses internet for local network

You have to enable remote access for this to work, even if your on your local network. i have the goflex 2tb. Access has always been slow. I bought a new router with gigabit ethernet, that speeds it up a little. but, tranferring files browser nas folders etc. is cumbersome and slow. As the kids say.... EPIC FAIL.

This app is garbage and worthless. They haven't supported it since 2012. I can still access the NAS drive via my Mac, PC, or the Segateshare website, but this app now thinks that the NAS drive doesn't exist on the network anymore.


No updates for years!!!

My GoFlex home iOS app hasn't been updated in years! How about an update for the larger iPhone screens of today? It's excruciatingly painful to use on my iPhone6 and iPad Air.

Literally the worst productivity app I have ever used. I have had a seagate home hard drive for close to 10 years now. My latest one is 6tb. For almost all that time the mobile app as well as the GoFlex home website has not been changed or updated in all those years. The interface is horrible, you can download files, its slow and the interface is terrible. Very disappointed and I will be looking for a new external hard drive/ home server soon and I will not buy another one.

1. This app will not connect to the hard drive which it did at one time. 2. When I tried to get support they wanted to charge me for my support after paying all that money for the hard drive. 3. I would not recommend this app and try to get help no help.


Disappointing - My iOS Devices can't access my data

Stopped working today and I can not access my data from iOS devices. A message states that App developer must update this App to work with iOS devices. Why didn't Seagate make the necessary updates to address this issue. It seems like Seagate has abandoned this App and people whose data is locked out in their NAS device and can not be accessed.

Please update the iOS app asap as it's not supported with iOS 10.3. I paid good money for this NAS systems and I cannot use it due to your lack of support.
