Fun and imaginative even with a few flaws

When God Kings launched I tried it out and immediately got hooked. It is a refreshing take on a tired genre And that’s why I still play today. The game is solid I haven’t noticed any major bugs are crashes except having one of my alliance members have their God taken while under a shield. However the game is broken around one fundamental flaw. If you’re a top alliance and you surround the highest resource nodes, you can slowly strangle out the alliances is under you by limiting how far they can advance I giving them only the level ones and two for resource gathering. I don’t know if the resource node are distributed by a random number generator or they’re specifically put towards the middle of the realm, but there needs to be better disbursement of those resources. I noticed there’s only one realm right now and I could be for play testing balancing and other issues. But having multiple rounds would definitely help spread out players and allow for better experience. Additionally, the developers need to increase the timer on collecting gifts to 12 hours. I understand 24 hours is a bit much, but if you work, go to school, or have any life outside of playing the game you’re going to miss a lot of your gifts. I came home from work to find 24 of 32 gifts expired. Also, it would be nice to have a collect all button for the gifts. Sometimes I have an excess of 100 gifts, thanks alliance mates, and opening each one is a little bit of a pain. I would also like to see a better distribution of guardian levels to hunt. In trying to get my guardian to level III I can barely find guardians to hide that would give me the materials I need. If guardians are relegated to certain parts of the map then there needs to be a cleaner way of doing that and mixing the levels up a little better than they are. Lastly, while I love the dungeon running aspect of the game, It would be nice to have an extra award for totally clearing out dungeons. My alliance maids and I spend time and thoroughly cleaning out dungeons and it just would be a little extra pat on the back to get some guardian materials or even resources for totally clearing out the dungeons. Guardian kings is a great game. It’s worth the time to play. However I believe in making a few tweaks suggested the developers can add longevity to the game in hopes of retaining players and deepening the player experience.

I enjoy the buildup aspect of this game quite a bit. The graphics are good and the dev has included a ton of free power ups to be used to level up (if you keep up with the free gifts from the boat). My main issue is that there needs to be some sort of leveling system in place for the gameplay to be fair across the board. It's no fun to be attacked by someone that is 40 times more powerful than you and they can essentially take all of your resources. Someone that far above you should not be able to attack you and gain so much for so little work. They should only be able to attack within a certain power range and expect to get rewarded. Attack to far below your power and rewards should start falling off. Like they should only be able to take a small percentage of your resources but someone closer to your own power can take more from you and vice versa. I will keep playing for now but this aspect of game play needs to change in order to make the game more fair and balanced.

I have 6 months with this game. Excellent game play. Had me hooked from the beginning. Unfortunately the game has one server and the newbies are starting the game right next to the Veterans. This means as soon as you start your destroyed instantly and it’s continuously. This ruins the game. Why is someone with 55million power attacking people with 100 power? You lose the fun as soon as you started. Fixes: 1. Make a few new servers and separate the current alliances into there own servers. Then reopen the game to the public and let the game grow. 2. Have a permanent shield on all castles level 5 and under unless they attack and break shield. 3. Double the map size AND have higher level food gold and bricks throughout the map not just high tiles in the middle. 4. MORE GOLD. ITS TOO HARD TO FIND. 5. Fix the War Scroll and Refresh Ceremonies problem. You get way too many during rallies. Lower the percentage and raise the stamina percentage. Keep people playing by winning the Stamina. Please fix this game as a lot of use would rather stay then leave. Thank you

The game has a few interesting features but has major flawed. There is no chat function for server or individual, shield function is not well thought out, and there is a lack of ability for new players to grow.

Ok originally I gave this game 5/5 but now I am struggling to give it 4/5. It’s a fun game in concept and the pieces are there for something great but it has crumbled into a horrid mess. If you want to become the most powerful player in the game you don’t work towards top tier units you upgrade your horsemen in the war tree and power up your basic guardian. Build nothing but farms, garrisons, storehouses, and pump them out. There is no point in working towards tier 3 because there is no balance in units. The top clan are a bunch of racists hell bent on shutting the game down by destroying every clan and player who gets to 7m power and they had such a head start over everyone else that there is no fighting back. They are strong enough they can and have wiped top 10 clans out of the game. You are told to take the beating till you quit and they can farm your city while you rot at bottom tier. You also need to worry about traitors in your alliance who will give your locations to them so no safety in numbers. The t could be a fun game but it has many mistakes right now that I hope devs are working to correct but for now give this game a skip and watch for up dates. Keep hope.
