First the manual said download PlayMemorirs to control camcorder ... nope, no options there to control camera then it said this App would control camera, nope ... you can see through your phone what camera sees BUT THATS IT, garbage!
High hopes shattered

Had high hopes this would be better than PlayMemories... it’s actually worse. It has less features, doesn’t work more than half the time and costs way too much. I feel like the developer only made this “new” version to test price sensitivity with us Sony camera owners. This app needs a lot of fixes! I DON’T recommend this app. I would have rated zero stars if it was possible.

None of the claimed function works! The app CANNOT connect the phone with the camera! This app is totally a scam! I want my money back!

Doesn’t work at all. I got it to control my Sony HDR-MV1 video camera, which it should control, ie, record, stop, that’s all I want it to do. But no, it doesn’t do that or anything else. It locks up trying to take a photo, with no video controls at all. And, there is no help or chat visible in the app, as their response says to use if one has issues. Shame, shame. Liars and cheats in my book.
