I am a long time Go player and own numerous Go apps, and this app simply cannot be beat. The aesthetics are clean and simplistic. The ability to import games is very useful, and the app itself comes with professional games to study move-by-move, and life-and-death problems that are refuted by the AI with many variations. Games can be saved and resumed at any time, and commented/annotated. For less than a dollar, this game is a STEAL.
I've played a lot of GO apps and this one beats them all - it's very slick. Way to go!
I've tried a fair number of go apps and this is definitely one I'll keep around. I especially like the puzzles for helping me recognize patterns and improve my mid and late game.
Can't play online, can't adjust board size. I don't want to play a 19x19 on my phone. Who does?
I could not get this to work reliably. Buttons did nothing. There is no AI, it is just a way to record games.
Play-and-pass a 19x19 game with no AI, some editing of record; view 41 pro games (1988-1995) with no comments; explore 34 life&death problems (many cope with several choices for B1 move, but W2 response to B1 never varies; one [#26] seems to not a have Black-to-kill solution) I regret my purchase influenced by enthusiastic reviews in 2013. In any event, *Go Problems* and *joygo* [both free] are better values. Search for "Baduk" or "WeiQi" within iTunes-store to find a variety of alternatives.
