Glitch Machine is a generative music synthesizer. Expressions are edited live to produce sound interactively.
The magic of Glitch Machine's synthesis is in the BYTE, which wraps a final output value to a number between 0 - 255. The repeating patterns (or chaos) of this 'wrapping' produces waveforms and beats.

Highly recommend this. Don't let the coding aspect scare you off. It's really easy to start making stuff and enjoying yourself. Really love how well this app is put together.
Cool but needs a tutorial

Very cool sounds like nothing out there, except maybe TOPLAPapp, and that's pretty random control-wise. This definitely needs a tutorial or a manual - I know a bit about RPN but I'm still baffled by the coding and none of the online RPN how-to sites has been helpful as far as this app goes. 3 stars for the very cool demos, which you can alter - 5 stars once there's a bit of info for the average person to control things and start from scratch. Also, GlitchMachine support link takes you to a description of the app with no support links evident. I'm guessing it's coming soon....?
It will take some time to learn, but I like it!

This app is very interesting as well as easy to use. The only thing left is to understand how to program synthesis which in due time I know I will by trial and error as well as reasearching in books and on the web. Highly recommend Glitch Machine for those who like to create their own synth sounds on a easy to use interface.
A fun music hacking app

I've been greatly enjoying this app for the past few days now. It really brings me back to experimenting with BASIC back when I was a kid. It's a lot more expressive in the results though. I love that with just a few presses, i can have a unique tone comeing out of it, and with some experimentation, have an entire song formulating around it. It's loads of fun to play with!

Glitch Machine is really fun but there is a pretty big learning curve. Don't expect to dive in and make cool sounds immediately. In fact, be prepared to wanna pull your hair out for the first hour or so but once you figure it out there's a lot of nasty fun to be had.

Really Really Needs easy to understand step by step Demo videos to show how to program it .! The instructions really dont help much at all ! You csn get really awesome sounds but usually on accident as you csnt really figure what most things do or what combo to put them in . The maker said he would make a demo video and seemed cool , but so far the only videos hes making are video games unrelated to this . Ill give a better rating when he actually does make a demo vid or more clear and concise instructions. Im getting kind of sick of app makers not including easy to understand demos or instructions , and apple needs to look into this problem as its theyre store selling them , but then again in my experience theyre customer service never responds and isnt good! all they seem to care about is takeing your money.

This app is fantastic!!! At first it may be confusing, but once you get it you will have a blast! I used the provided examples as a guide to programming my own sounds. The key to starting a sound is to start the line with a T. Cool like The Dude.
Guitar-tastic glitch thunder

The latest update has a very impressive sounding 'guitar' expression in the examples. I am very happy with the sound improvements, but a majority of my glitchmachine projects I have worked on previously no longer work in the newest version. Make sure to render audio before updating because not everything works the same in the newest version... Also I would save a copy of the previous version of glitchmachine just in case. But overall I am happy with audio copy and the audio improvements.
