Great issue management tool

Jeremy W. Sherman

GitLab Control makes it easy for me to create, edit, and review issues on the go. Its label filtering and editing support allows to view a single column from a Board at a time, as well. The developer is very responsive and quick to enhance the app as well. It was especially nice to see all my project info still accessible in the app during GitLab's "oops we accidentally the production database" outage. Bravo!

Not easy to read code

Simpaticorp

Also, please just indicate that you "canNOT" edit code in your description or on your website. I know it just says "browse" but I gambled the $5 or whatever because I'd already set it up. I'll change my review if this feature is added but the browsing isn't very helpful as it doesn't allow for line wrapping so almost impossible to browse code.

Very limited without $5 in-app upgrade

mgreci

Yes you can view information about projects (such as activity, issues), but you cannot even view source code or create issues from the app. Something about this makes me just not want to pay an extra $5 when I can just do everything from the mobile site for free. Also had a UI issue in that there is a black bar (15% of screen) across the top of the screen of the app pushing all the content down.

Couldn't login

Could never get it to login

Poor features, even on pro version.

ZHUO.QL

Basically the app is usable, but it lacks some key features, even after upgrading to the pro version : - event link broken: someone comment on an issue, i tap on the event, the app goes to the commit log page. - no issue boards. - doesn't list all issues of all projects under the issue tab(I have at least 4 projects, but it lists issues of only 2 here). - poor markdown editor. - poor diff viewer on commit detail page. - cannot star a project. I'm too tied to list more, but believe me, it is not worth a 5$ payment definitely, even it's not worth the advertising banner on the top(the free version). I will update this review on every update or release, hope the developer will make it better.

This is in my "Essential Apps" list!

Great work!

Bugs

pooya.meister

This app has bugs. After opening app it has a space from top of the screen.

Really useful app

Andrew Eick

Does the job to monitor my self-hosted GitLab install.

Obnoxious ad placement

Keith Gonzalez

Ad placement at the very top of the app is just bad. Normally I’d consider an in-app purchase to remove ads as long as it adds new features as well, but I just couldn’t bare it with this one. The ad placement for the free version of this app just made me want to instantly uninstall, which I did.

Ad on top

I never seen an app putting ad in the worse position. I will use the browser version instead.
