I have lots of preschool games for my 2yr old. It's a great format. Most games can be set up for beginers or advanced. And the "camera" is differeny then another toddler app out there. That game alone is worth the 99cents.

This game is cute at first and then very repetative. I don't like how the camera saves the pictures into my iPod. Good for letter and number recognition.

My 3 year old in under five minutes mastered all the games at the hard level. They need to add a memory matching game or something more interactive then say the letter/animal/whatever and expect the child to respond.

Having a degree in educational technology and having worked with Pre-K children for 5 years, I always approach pre-school software with a critical eye. That being said, this is a simple and intuitive program that will serve 3 functions. It will entertain children; it will engage the recall and relationship aspects of young minds (very important); it will provide an opportunity to interact with the child. From an educator's point of view, I recommend that you play this game with children rather than just handing them the device to keep them quite. For example, let the child "teach" you how to play".

My daughter plays lots of diff apps but never for more than a couple minutes. She'll play this one for a half hour at a time. She can listen to the intro music for ten minutes straight.
Fun but not so challenging

Given the number of preschool apps I own, this was just "okay". I bought this one on the strength of Tomatointeractive's matching game. Although there are six games in this bundle, they don't offer the same developmental level of challenge. Maybe I'm reading too much into it. My daughter definitely has fun playing the games, but I would have probably passed on this one in favor of something that offered more of a developmental challenge. This would have been a smarter purchase before she had mastered her numbers and letters.

Great music, we all find ourselves humming it! My daughter has a lot of fun with this app. Lots of different things for her to look at. Keeps her amused in the car for a LONG time! Well worth it!
fun but not challenging

this game is eye catching and colorful. the makers clearly put effort into it. there is not-so-annoying music (a real find in children's games) and my daughter enjoys playing it. however, i don't know if it will have staying power. it says it is for preschool but it is not challenging for my 3 yo even on the games where there is an advanced option. having said that, she has fun and when i'm distracting her with my phone i'm not expecting a learning experience. so i'd buy it again.
