Not quite there

This product is cool but not quite there yet. It assumes that you will put your entire gig set list of songs in one file. When you do the app is prone to crash. If you put each song in a separate file, there is no easy way to switch to a new song without first going to the editor then selecting a new song then putting it into edit mode then selecting the song for the Gig. As i said the assumption is that you will put your entire gig into one file then you don't have to do the switching. The scrolling feature is nice although you still have to adjust the lines of text to get the timing right. You can set the scroll speed but who plays all the songs in a gig at the same speed. Again a better way to switch between song would fix this problem, then you could set the scroll speed of each song individually. I wanted something that I could use to read my lyrics and chords while I was playing a gig. I don't want the app to blow up in the middle of a gig because I have more than 20 songs in my gig list. So... 3 stars for effort and for some neat features like importing, scrolling, and white text on black background. With a little more development, this might be more usable than for a song or two. (yes a real gig). Until then, I will have to put my money in a competitors product like iGig.

Dropbox import doesn't work at all. Text highlight works randomly and either doesn't highlight the selected text or highlights unselected text. Don't waste your money. Export causes the app to crash.
Major disappointment
It's true
Months ago I could have written a supporting review of Gigit. Unfortunately, they didn't test for the newer iOS updates. Now, formatting and highlighting are erratic and oftentimes a huge time waster to work around. More importantly is their lack of customer support. Their email response is fast. Their solutions have been non-existent. They appear to be more focused on other projects, since they haven't offered one update in months for problems they are well aware of. Also, their current version is riddled with ads every where you go. Look elsewhere.
Every time I touch it a candy crush pops up. But I already downloaded candy crush

Nice on stage app. Unfortunately, the in app purchase to remove ads doesn't work (at least in iOS 6). Contacted the developer twice over 10 days, no response. Too bad, seemed to be a nice app, but not practical with ads popping up everywhere.
Now that I paid for it, it doesn't work.

Dropbox won't connect, app closes out when I try to center any lyrics, this was the perfect solution to my problem until I discovered that I would have to type all my lyrics in by hand on my iPad. Waste of my time and money.
