The puzzle consists of 7 geometric pieces which are normally boxed in the shape of a square. There are five right triangles in three different sizes, one square and one parallelogram.

The objective of the puzzle is to form a specific shape using all seven pieces, which must not overlap. Sometimes there is more than one solution to the puzzle which is accepted as long as it has exactly the same outline of the matching figure.

The pieces, called 'tans', are used to create different patterns including animals, people, numbers, geometric shapes and many more. The aim of the puzzle is to seamlessly arrange all the geometric pieces to match a given outline or silhouette. You can rotate the individual shapes to fit the silhouette or remove them if you get stuck. There are 30 shapes to choose from and once solved these can be saved individually to generate a 4 player game.

This activity helps to develop and improve spatial memory and spatial visualization skills and is suitable for all ages.
