Great but One Problem

This app is great for anyone who is interested in genetics. However, when I uploaded my results, only 70 reports were available for monogenetic diseases, whereas when I uploaded a different persons results, it gave them 82 reports available for monogenetic diseases.

**UPDATE: Contrary to the nonsense that the developer responded with below, Promethease does NOT charge multiple times either. Again, save your money here & use it toward a one-time charge for a VASTLY superior experience with Promethease! I purchased the full version of this app for $9.99 & it was extremely disappointing, at best...I found very little to no new/enlightening information. Instead, anything posted within this app was very generic/nonspecific to my genome. I would strongly suggest saving your money, & instead, using the plethora of other genome interpretation sites out there that actually provide more extensive information into your DNA's raw data...especially Promethease!
Most straightforward 3rd party interpretation of DNA data

I wasn't sure this app would be worth it for me, but it was. If you want something that will use plain language (and graphs) to explain the implications of your SNPs and alleles, try the app. Another reviewer suggested Promethease. For me, it's not an either/or. I got my Promethease report and thought I understood what I was looking at. Looking at the same data through this app was an aha moment. Money well spent.
Entertaining, updates fairly regularly

I’m using my Genes For Good data and it’s definitely fun. Accessible and entertaining, and seems to update pretty frequently which makes the $10 price tag worthwhile.

It didn’t detect my df508 gene

It didn’t detect and I supposed it doesn’t test for the most common mutation of Cystic Fibrosis Delta F508.
Limited conditions

The simplicity of this app is great, that is once you figure out how the heck to get the files to them! My beef is that there are so few conditions they are looking at. For example, there are no mental health conditions in the report. No Alzheimer’s or other cognitive disorders. I wouldn’t waste your money. Go get promethease instead.
It could be better

The app has potential. But, the descriptions of medical conditions or names of conditions are horrible. Expect to Google most of your results. A few of the issues it said I had an increased chance of contracting I couldn’t find on Google! I hope I don’t get whatever mystery illnesses those were!

This app told me I carried a gene that would definitely be passed on to any sons that I have and the gene is basically they go deaf and blind by the time they are 20. Absolutely horrifying thing to put out there when that is absolutely not a gene I carry!
