Been waiting for the third one to release and its even better than expected! Another high quality Gamebook for the collection, a must have for gamebook fans.

... for my birthday. Nice. Very good story so far. Nice improvements to the whole thing. A little better balance. The fights are still too chancy, but I can't complain overly. A few grammatical and spelling errors here and there that should have been caught but very good nonetheless. I would recommend.

So far this is a very enjoyable game book. The storyline is fun and entertaining and the game system works well. There are a few grammatical errors here and there. Also, there are just a few writing inconsistencies. Overall, it is well worth the price and I would recommend it. Would have given it 5 stars except for the errors.

Sooooo much more than just a good read--a thinking man's "choose your own adventure" book mixed with RPG elements equals hours and hours of kickass. Wish I could give it 6 stars!

The third installment in this series has the same issue that the first one had. Fights occasionally get hung up during the players turn and the only way to progress in the battle is to either use a health potion or finesse. If this issue of being unable to roll occurs during character creation it results in a nonprogression. Even when this was not addressed in the first installment I still purchased 2 and 3 in hopes that the devs would finally pay attention and fix this truly annoying issue, but NOPE. I'm sorry, but you guys stink. I will totally change my rating and review if you actually fix this issue. It really hurts an already clunky battle system.

Of the four game book adventures. This is the third best one. It is ok, but not great. No major problems, just not as entertaining as you might hope. It does have some interesting combat sequences where you make choices instead of roll dice. But overall it felt a little small. Even though you travel in boats, are captured as a slave etc. It just felt a little constrained. Like you had two or three parallel paths to choose from, and you cannot find the interesting one.

I just finished the third book of the gamebook adventures series recently and I will say that it's renewed my faith in the series and is on par with the first one. It could have been a little bit better in terms of different paths and freedom, but the story was interesting enough for me to actually play a few times and get the ultimate ending and there was actually a little character interaction, dialogue, and change of scenery as opposed to the second book. I would definitely recommend the app to people who are fans of the CYOA type.

I've been playing through this series for a while now and really can't say enough about it. It is a fantastic combination of choose your adventure books and pen and paper rpg style.
