So...Much...Time...I love this game

Fitzboy101

Since downloading Game Dev Story, 24 hours ago, I've accumulated no less than 10 solid hours on this game. Significant considering I'd been simultaneously spending holiday time with the family. What I've experienced with this app is an explosively entertaining, attention grasping economic thrill the likes of Rolled Coasted Tycoon 2. The UI is well set, albeit clunky and lacks providing useful information before making big decisions (creating a game for ex.). The only disappointment is that now I have no where else to grow. You can only improve the office size twice, hiring new employees with the Hollywood hunter person (most expensive hiring option) tapers off and you are rarely if ever able to hire someone over 200 stats in a single category, and something is terrifyingly wrong with the yearly awards selections; in the same year, the computer generated game "Dragon Crest" won both BEST AND WORST GOT......WHAT!? Game needs fixing, but is an impressively solid beginning to what can be an unbelievable respite from family gatherings.

I've played most of the games made by this company. Game dev is the best by far. I have played it so many times and still play it from time to time. For those who complain about graphics need to understand the game was made in 1997, while there was still better graphics even then, this was the style they chose. This is merely a port from the 1997 Japanese PC version. Nonetheless great port and a great game.

Good but could be better

There are many things missing from this game, for example: I was never able to get a hardware engineer, so I could never make a console. The music is HORRIBLE, by the way. You don't make that many decisions that affect your game, and if your games stats get too high there is an equipment failure , setting u back. Also, for some reason when you train hackers they only get +1. You also can't do product research, for ex you can't see why people liked one of your games, what you can do to improve, etc. also sometimes u will pay 2 mil for a special artist musician or planner etc and they will give u something that the 10k comic fan could have done, also you can only upgrade your building twice which is annoying, also mister x wasn't very good either

Great game!

This game is amazing. The order in which the consoles are released is true to real life. I got my girlfriend into it too. I also have Cafe Nippon and Pocket League.

Incredible game, some improvements though

I love this game. I think that it would be better if it included iPad support for split screen or screen rotation.
