Awesome chip tune player! Miss the stereo!

DCver3

This is an awesome chip tune player. Easy to suggest to any fan of game music. What I first got it the thing that amazed me the most was the stereo panning for nsf files. So cool listening to new music in smoothly rendered stereo that was mixed intelligently... Then the update hit which added a lot of needed features. It also added reverb where the stereo slider used to be. I must say the reverb effect is pretty lame compared to what the stereo offered. Luckily I had the first version so I could still have stereo. Hopefully in a future update they can add a switch to choose between using the reverb or stereo effect. One last thing, the reverb also cuts the volume output quite a bit.

Huge fan of GAMBI. Plays music from all of my favorite classic consoles and chiptune artists. Great interface, no weird playback issues. If you've been look for an app that plays the original sound files from your favorite games, grab this now.

Great Update!

SuperBlaq

Latest update made the app better than ever! NES tracks play better, and if the music was interrupted by another audio app like a music player you would have to exit and reopen the app in order for the sound to play again, not anymore. Though when I opened Periscope, it cut the Gambi music off and couldn't start again unless I closed and reopened the app like before.. I can now pause the app with my inline control for my headphones and continue listening. Before if I paused the app I couldn't un-pause it, requiring me to exit the app and open again. It's working so much better now and I'm extremely grateful for this. It took a while for this update but it was worth it! Thanks for the hard work, I hope this app continues to be supported'

I've have a few minor gripes with this program recently. The iTunes file sharing thing is (at least for me) a bit more complicated than I expected it to be. Also, you can't delete the pre-made songs or any songs for that manner very easily. I hope you can develop a more user-friendly interface so I don't have to rip my hair out trying to learn how to do stuff ;) Thank you and keep up the good work!

Essential

Dr. Apostrophe X

There's nothing else like it on the App Store. Great sounds and nostalgia and the AudioCopy export makes it easy to take the tunes with you.

Great sounds. Loses it by not being commercially usable. Potential for samples huge. A waste of an app until it resolves this issue. *update* There are many 4-dollar apps (and cheaper, as in free) that allow one to make music they can then broadcast to the public without copyright infringement. In fact, charging 4 dollars for an app that only allows you to play music is too expensive. But thanks for the reply.

Fantastic!

Radicoon

Really glad this little gem exists on iOS. Please fix the shuffle problem (shuffle works, but doesn’t affect the upcoming view, and can misidentify tracks and mess up favorites). Still, this app is so good I can easily give it a 5 with this issue. Download it, you’ll love it!
