Device is insecure

KTGLaguna

This app is at best marginal. Spent about $50 extra to buy the Wi-Fi version of exhaust fan. The driving reason to buy the Wi-Fi version was that I’d be able to this device with the other smart devices in my home. As far as I can tell this device is not capable of integrating with a home network. Primary reason for my one star rating though is the fact that you’re not able to change the Wi-Fi password, as such anyone with this app would have the ability to control this device. Simply unacceptable

Best purchase this summer!!!

Love this product and this app I would like to make one request and that is to make the apps lil fan icon move when it is on and or show that it is on in the app when it is blowing thank you!

Very unreliable

KiaHop

Haven’t been able to reliably use this app. Tried connecting via WiFi and was not able to change the temperature setting. Switched to blue tooth and again not able to set temp. So killed the app and restarted the app, which to my surprise allows me to change the temp once. It went into the ‘read-only’ mode again. While connected via WiFi, I was able to update the firmware to 3.00, but when connected via Bluetooth current firmware version comes up as 0.00 and upgrade button seems not to work at all.

Apps needs work to function better w Fan.

App and fan do not function correctly. I've set the temp to 107 and and fan runs at 101. I have to manually reset the app so that the fan turn off at the set temperature. App doesn't show if the fan is on or off. You have physical check to see if it's on or off. Add this simple indicator to see if the fan is runningin the app.

When this app works it works OK, when it’s not working it does not work at all. I have the temp and humidity both set for their lowest settings and the humidity and the temperature are both higher than the settings and it does not turn on. I have to constantly go in and turn it on manually. Very Inconvenient. I think I am going to bypass the whole system and put a manual switch and that will be more reliable. I would not buy this unit again if I had to rely on the Wi-Fi. Bypass it in the unit works great

No way to connect to home network

Unable to connect to home Wi-Fi and Bluetooth doesn’t function. Very disappointing

Don’t buy this product

I wish I would have read all the other reviews before I bought this product. I am strictly writing a review in the event that someone might be saved by reading this. There is no way to have this fan run on its own. You have to connect to the fan as the network wireless in order to run the app. As soon as you connect to it ( the app connects to fan and not vise versa), rendering your own wireless network useless. I have to do like the other people on here and probably install a manual switch on the unit- completely the opposite reason of why I bought this.

App won’t connect

debp54

App won’t connect to wi fi. My iPhone doesn’t even recognize the device. Tried everything I can think of but no luck. I’m 65 and don’t want to climb into my attic but I don’t see another option. I have had this for a year and bought the WiFi version but now that it is blistering hot I can’t connect

Too Unstable

Gribble.dribble

I know High School students that are able to write and publish a better app than this.

Poorly Designed App

I have to have this because one of my two fans is too high and out of sight. But unfortunately, this app is much worse than I could have imagined. Everything everyone else has written is absolutely true. Using it is very cumbersome. And as noted by others, I still can’t tell from the App if the fan I can’t see is actually working at all. They claim to be working on an upgrade which will fix some of the issues. To all of us who are stuck with this thing, let’s hope improvement comes coon.
