Not working

Buyer Beware

I've had all of the problems that "Revstone" had (or is still having) plus a long list of others. FSX Follow and FSX Control; both are worthless and a total waste of your money. I tried to contact the programmer (?), and all he can seem to do is ask me questions, which lead us both back to the problem I originally addressed with him. More wasted time, and money. I'm contacting Apple and asking that they refund my money. This was advertised as an easy and simple app - NOT TRUE. Note: I had to give this at least one (1) star in order to write a review.

Could be something, but so far it is not.

The idea of controlling your aircraft with your iPhone accelerometer is fascinating! I bought this to give it a try and was a bit disappointed. After a tricky installation, I managed to get it working. Here's what I think: 1) Having to have Internet to get it to work is bad and limits it's usage. I bought this so I can fly with my notebook while I'm traveling and not carrying a joystick. I don't have Internet access most of the time so this app becomes pointless to do that. What if I want to use it while I'm in a long haul flight? Fail. 2) The controls aren't smooth at all. If you need precision for that 747 landing, you might want to land with ILS on autopilot because the controls aren't really in real time. 3) There should be a way to use it with your USB cable plugged, so we would have faster controls and no need for wifi. 4) The graphics and layout are bad. Also, landscape mode doesn't exists. 5) There is no way to calibrate the yoke for a comfortable position. I can see this app going somewhere in the future, but it surely needs a lot of work to improve it. I hope they update it regularly.

Not a bad app, use your iPad as a yoke.

Over all not bad, controls are slow to respond and button placement is not the best, but it does work as described. Would like to see a view button on the cockpit screen as well as the reference screen, but am pleased with the app.

An alternative to keyboard commands
Delta14Sierra

While useable and useful as is, it has the potential of being even better if it were to include more FSX commands, especially views.

Good, but...

The option to also connect via localhost would be interesting, because the internet connection have a little delay in the commands.

Not ready for release
mbrinkg8tr

This application ran on my iPad, but failed to control the plane. It sends data to a server on tge internet, then to fs. The delay is totally unacceptable for use. Do not waste your money. NOT EVEN REMOTELY WORTH THE PRICE. If you are expecting the performance of xplane remote, you are not going to find anything like it here.

It Works... But...
X-Pilot 9

The app needs to undergo some major improvements. PositionGames makes great games, but this app has potential. 3 things that would make this better for you PositionGames and help you sell this app (if u even read this) are: 1.) Add a landscape mode to make maneuvering with the accelerometer easier. 2.)Simply add a function that allows a "neutral point to be set by measuring the tilt/rotations of the device for more comfortable usage. 3.) Add a function (if possible) to allow the thrust +/- buttons to be held and increase or decrease instead of having to repeatedly press the button. Overall, this is a good app for basic functions... Definitely helpful

Not impressed

Have been working with this program for over an hour. Have followed all suggestions and downloaded and installed all files...still does not work. Would not buy again,

Internet Connection Required
BrianKInAppTown

I should have read the description better, you need to have an internet connection for both the computer and iOS device. So much for using this while traveling. Does me no good when travelling to Africa as I am frequently without internet. I thought I would be able to use this routing it through my local network with my Airport Express like I do with other apps. No go on that, has to connect to the Positiongames website. Works fine with internet though.
