The App Store description fails to say that this free version only works for 10 minutes.
Great but it would be really cool if they made it so that you could connect to your computer via USB cable.
The free version only works ten minutes at a time. You need FSX or another compatible PC or Mac flight simulator for this app to work. It is not stand-alone. I use it with both FSX and Prepar3d on Win 7 x64 without crashes or lag. The app will work with aircraft other than a Cessna 172, but the readings of some of the instruments (like airspeed) may pin the Cessna instrument to the maximum value. Beware a few similar apps that claim to provide instrument panels for computer-based flight simulators. They don't work.
Great idea but locks up with no way to reset. I would love to have this but it has to work!
I have the demo version X-Plane 10 and used this free app for the Cessna. Did the manual upload (drag and drop) and it worked out great, first try. Wish the full version wasn't 14 bucks and Cessna only.
I tried everything to make this work but it won't connect to the sever. It doesn't allow you to change any settings this is by far the worst sim it won't connect to the server i have tried everything that they said to do and nothing no way to find the setting a comple waste of time
Somehow I did get this to sync up to FSX one time after many attempts. Even though I was getting about 28fps, there was a very noticeable stuttering of the FSX scenery. It went away as soon as I disconnected from the server. Of course after that I never established a connection with server again. After sending an email to support, I finally got a response the next day suggesting I move the iPad closer to my router. I don't think so. It's only about two feet away now. I haven't heard from them again.
Download and install was easy and the gauges are very clear. Was running with the a2a simulation cessna ( the only cessna worth flying in fsx) and several gauges did not match those in game. The tachometer, fuel flow, egt, amps, oil pressure, and oil temp appear operational but give very different read outs from the gauges in game.
