Frustrated

snoskiz

Frontier is the worst. How a small town company that had poor reviews before taking over Verizon ever was allowed to to it is dumbfounding. Can't even begin to tell all the problems I've had since the switch. Finally got so frustrated, I switched to Time Warner. Will never go back to Frontier again.

Not authorized?!?

beinuppity

Got the "You are not authorized to use this application" error message - what?!? I was using it for two years with my iPhone 5S but now that I've upgraded to the 6S+ I'm not authorized??? I've been on the phone bounced between customer support & tech support for three days trying to resolve this and my head is ready to explode. I'm done. This app is useless if I can't log in.

Works in CT for former SBC/AT&T Customers

Bifferooni

This app is basically just a rebranded version of the old SBC Global / AT&T Unified Messaging app. If you're *NOT* a former SBC Global / AT&T Unified Messaging customer, this app is *NOT* for you. If you are a former SBC Global / AT&T Unified Messaging customer, and you migrated your service to Frontier, then the app is a good way to check your voice mail from an iPhone. My only real gripe with it is that there doesn't seem to be a way to empty the "trash" all at once. If you want to delete voicemails from the trash, you need to delete each message individually, which can get pretty tedious.

Terrible app

The real Bubbajones

No voice mail transcription. No way to empty the "deleted" folder. No updates or bug fixes in years.

Removed key, needed "Call Manager" feature - almost useless now

Vinzo

Until they restore the key feature, "Call Manager," this app is not worth the space your provides. My main interest in down loading the app was the convenience of being able to manage and forward calls on the fly. "Call Manager" is touted as a feature for the App and it is even still shown in 2 screenshots (in the menu items screenshot & in an actual screenshot of the "Call Manager" screen, but the feature is nowhere to be found in the live actual app. Worse "Call Manager" is not even accessible from their website anymore so the only way to manage availability or call forwarding may be to dial into the phone and use a bunch of obscure dial prompts and codes. Without this feature this app becomes mostly useless - basically a way to check your voice mail visually. But even that feature is limited - you can't fast forward or rewind a voicemail. It also has a contact list feature but if we're already using this on our phone we don't really need that. On their website you can set up voicemail forwarding via email, so with that and until they restore this key & valuable "Call Manager" feature (or add other features of functional value), my recommendation is don't bother using valuable storage space on your phone for this app. I spent quite a bit of time searching their website and documentation (their documentation falsely also refers to the Unified Messaging app and Call Manager features but no mention of the feature removal in the KB) and a finally a good 30 mins on the phone with their tech support and they didn't have any knowledge the the feature wasn't there or why it was missing. They were supposed to get back to me via email once they found out. 1-star for false advertising a key selling point feature that doesn't exist or acknowledging it in version history and explaining why. I'm a 20 year product/marketing executive and I gotta say my biggest peeve is poor UI/User experiences. Wow guys, get it together. There have been a lot of frustrations by customers over the transition from AT&T, I can understand some growing pains and migration headaches but get it together or your customer churn rate will grow. Get your stuff together and OWN it, own support, own your features, own the market and be competitive/innovative and own the commitment to customers (be they inherited through AT&T or Verizon acquisition or not). If you have to remove a key feature, acknowledge it and explain why, as well as provide a timeline as to when the feature will be restored (if ever) AND actually let your customer service/tech support team know about it. Add this Key Feature (Call Manager) back and even as some new functionality, like access to inbound/outbound call logs/history or the ability to place LD calls or receive calls over the APP like most modern VoIP and digital systems and I'll happily change my opinion and upgrade my review. I was thinking about using your business phone service but this kind of thing is a bit off-putting, fix it and show that you can keep pace with the market and I'll happily change my opinion. I took the time to write the lengthy review in hopes that my points on this feature and customer communication/service in the future may be addressed. Thanks for listening.
