After having my accounts hacked, social engineered, and generally spammed, and reporting offensive posts daily to the platforms, I decided I had enough. I downloaded Friendly+ and didn’t look back. This is an amazing app, where you can block words from your news feed, block the trackers that make it so easy to social engineer people, and see what you really want to see in your feed, the people and pages you care about. The ad blocker is brilliant. Using the paid form of friendly is one of the best decisions I have ever made.
Lost ability to choose “Most Recent”

Seems like the latest update, 8.8 has removed “Most Recent” as a choice for my newsfeed. That is one of the primary reasons I started using Friendly in the first place.

10.26.20: How much time does it take to simply test your “updated” app prior to release? Before all the bloated features were added at no one’s request, the app worked as described. But this latest would-be gem now *embraces* FB ads, the elimination of which sparked my purchase years ago. Add the ongoing weirdness re full-size images and you win, dev → Back to ChromeBook and it’s related extension which WORKS.

It’s gone. And is still being advertised for the app. Don’t buy it for this feature. Or for ad blocks. Hopefully they fix, but until then this is false false advertisement.

The ad blocker feature has been removed. No longer worth the price. Never got ads before. Now getting them all of the time.

Ad blocker is back. Either fb is screwy or app still a bit glitchy when it comes to newsfeed showing more than 5-10 posts and sometimes showing posts that are weeks plus old.
