Good app but does anybody know an app that locates your friends only by their phone number?

Does not tell you where your friends are until they update their location. How often will your friends do that? I don't care where my friend was 645 hours ago!

This app is like the Marauder's Map (of Harry Potter fame) for your mobile device! The biggest limitation (and it's an iPhone limitation since these apps aren't allowed to run in the background) is you have to be running the app in order for your position to be sent to your friends. On the iPhone if you go back to home, the app stops running.

This works really well, particularly when the people are outdoors. It does drain the battery pretty quickly. I like it that it only updates your location when you choose to run the app, since otherwise it would be too much like spying on someone. It works really well for bike rides or hikes or shopping, when you might get separated and want to know how to get back together. I imagine it would be great at Disneyworld. If it is possible, it would be nice to be able to choose whether or not to update locations in the background, but apparently from the other posts, this is not possible with iPhone.

First love the program simple to use. I primarily use it in my bike rides. Since I ride alone and am gone for hours my wife can become nervous and annoyed bc she has to guess when I am returning. With friend mapper I just turn it on and go cycling. I have peace if mind and mind wife does too knowing she knows where I am. Plus the customer is the best.
Great but, push notificatons?

Great, works perfect. Woul be nice if you can get push notifications to let others users to know that you want to share your location with them, without calling....

You would be better off if you folded you dollar bill into a football and played with it. My friend and i tried this app and neither worked! Don't buy
