Nope.

I would absolutely love this app if it did what it says. I have no idea how it has a 4 Star review. Every item I scanned was at least a month past its expiration date and some items were almost half a year or more? So strange. It scans fast and names what the item is but it doesn’t seem to have a rhyme or reason to doing the actual job I needed it to do which is keep track of expiration dates. ??‍♀️ very disappointing.

Recipe issues

I really liked how easy it was to scan items in my pantry but when I went to find recipes after entering them, it keeps giving me an error message and says the url is too long.

Web app or Android app?

dtoyd

Receipt scanning is shockingly bad. I scan a list of twenty items and it returns just three lines of text, mostly gibberish. Also needs a web interface or Android app so that my Android-using wife and I can share a grocery list! Might this ever happen? If not, I need to keep looking.

Good Idea but wrong expiration dates

Prajwal563

I scanned five items as a try few it guessed which were estimates not actual dates, but others were chocolates and bread which it gave total wrong or didn’t recognize the product name

Good enough app, can do with modifications

Bdon02

It’s a nice app for being able to catalog you’re kitchen how you want it and with what types of categories you want things in. The data can all be modified (name, expiration date...) and you can organize by name or expiration date. It also doubles as a shopping list. Downsides: the barcode scanner doesn’t work on small barcodes (think your small jars of spices) and their library isn’t that vast and sometimes doesn’t register common brands (like Pepsi or Kraft). The recipe generator also isn’t that great, so don’t rely on it to come up with a dinner idea for you.

Not the least bit useful

I scanned something bought from a large, well-known market... and nothing. If I have to enter things manually, I’m better off doing a paper list.

Useful but could use some basic features

William from HOT

I like this app. It does what I wanted it to do. It does seem to need a database update to recognize products. One HUGE feature would be to add my own barcodes for products in my local grocer. This flexibility would be far beyond useful and time saving. Also, it would be nice to prompt or ask for an expiration date when I transfer something from my shopping list. It is frustrating to transfer an item, then have to find it in the location and then add an expiration date. That is not efficient when I’m putting groceries away or otherwise don’t have all day to set expiration dates. The last feature I would love to see is the ability to move items from one location to another while maintaining the expiration date and reducing the number of items in the original location by the number moved. Example: I have 3 juices in the pantry. I’d like to be able to transfer 2 to the refrigerator, thus leaving my pantry list with 1 juice and my refrigerator list with 2 juices. Recreating the item is a pain and waste of time! I will gladly update my review should more useful features come along.

Couldn’t even get started

Not optimized for iPad, screen stretching is meh First item I tried to add, didn’t recognize barcode, tried to manually add, item name kept resetting to blank. Guess I’ll try something else.
