GREAT Dictionary App!

I have bought multiple versions of your app in a variety of languages that I study. I LOVE it! I have tried many apps — but I LOVE the consistent format you bring to these apps in the various languages. The BEST part — it is all beautifully linked. You type in the word you are looking for, and the app automatically finds definitions in whatever language you typed (without having to change the language, as most other apps require). Also, the VERB conjugations are wonderful! You look up a verb — click on "conjugate" in the upper right — and you instantly have access to ALL conjugations in all tenses of that verb. NO other app I have tried comes close to convenience for rapidity of verb conjugations (and I have tried MANY other apps). This dictionary is not as good for longer translations (I use another app for that ... ) — but for everything else, it is the best iphone/ipad app I have found for very fast and accurate translations and verb conjugation review. Thank you! NOTE #1 — The non-paid versions are inferior. But the adds go away and the dictionary greatly expands if you get the paid apps (well worth the money!). NOTE #2 — Someone mentioned they had trouble hearing the words. I did to until I shut off "Go on-line for better quality" — after which I heard the voices well. The "slow" speed is still a bit fast, but understandable.

I just started learning french and this app have everything i need. It can use better layout/design, but OK as it is.
Speech is way too fast

Even on the slowest setting the audio is way too fast. If you want to try to hear the words, phrases or sentences at different speeds you will get , fast, super fast and this is so ridiculously fast it doesn't make sense, as your opinions.

I can't believe I paid $9.99 for this app which is severely lacking in both French and English vocabulary. I have never seen pictures (as shown in the sample), and the option to hear a word pronounced almost never functions. But the real disappointment is in the lack of words. I find it pretty useless since almost every other word I search ends up not appearing in it.

This app was my biggest waste of ten bucks. I could see how a beginner would appreciate this app, but once you advance to a higher level, you'll find this dictionary practically useless. You'd think if you're paying for the premier version that'd you be able to look up more words. How wrong I was. And what's worse, the reviews aren't representative of the app. I once contacted customer support, and the rep didn't provide helpful information on how I could make suggestions for words I'd like added. Examples of words the app needs to add: rancunier, s'ébrouer, microcéphale, and lapidaire. Do not buy this app unless you never plan to advance beyond the beginner level of French.

I bought several apps and this is the absolute best. It gives genders of the nouns, conjugates, pronounces, gives examples, various forms, etc. it's excellent.
