Game played fine until last upgrade. Now game will not start Simply closes after splash screen. BAD UPGRADE!!!!

The latest update made the game inoperable. The game worked just fine until the 16 July update. Now when I tap the game icon it cycles as if it is going to start, then bounces back to the main menu. I can't play the game.
