Easy to use, fair and balanced

If you want an app that is easy to use and reliable news stories as opposed to CNN aka Clown News Network, this is your app...I'm tired of listening to hard hitting investigations on Russian salad dressing from CNN (true story) and would rather get the news...even their ratings are fake since they went from a one star to 4 star overnight...smh

Commercials come through perfect but the content stalls and is crap. When Rupert Murdoch and Fox decide they care more about the viewers than their commercials maybe I'll watch.

I’ve used the Fox News app on my iPad for about a year and have been relatively happy with it. It does give a brief account of the top news stories without getting pop-ups that tell me I’ve read my limit and now have to buy a subscription. This app does have ads interspersed with the news as “sponsored” stories, and as sidebar style offerings. I can click to see them or not, according to my own whim. Fine. And I have not had the problems that some users apparently have when opening a story to have it simply be a blank screen. On the FEW occasions it has happened, I simply close the story and the app. The immediately reopen them and everything is there. However, lately, the news stories have been getting cut off. It’s obvious that the story is coming to its close, but it abruptly ends in the middle of a sentence. At first I thought it was a fluke.. an editing error that happens to all news providers occasionally. It is no longer an “occasional” problem. It is the norm. Mostly, one can go on and assume what the probable missing words are- but sometimes not. Example - “... the story of [whatever] will be aired Wednesday night on”. That’s it. WHEN? WHAT SHOW? It’s a bit frustrating that apparently no one is monitoring the content of the app well enough to notice - or just doesn’t bother to correct it. I know about writing news copy using the inverted pyramid so it can be size adjusted by the editorial staff —- but I doubt “good editing” means cut off the end of the sentence in a way that it ends up making no sense. I wouldn’t go so far (as I see in other reviews) as to say that it is “balanced.” In today’s America, I’d be shocked to find ANY news source that is truly objective/balanced (as I was told news was supposed to be when in college journalism and mass media courses). It most definitely is biased on the side of conservatism. Considering the liberal stance of most big media companies, That in itself is a shocker. But since ALL news reporting is biased, I guess I’m okay with this “underdog” lean. I just keep my own eyes open and do my best to see the bias — on both sides. But, even with the weak points, I can at least keep aware of what is going on, and that is my goal. I live in an area where it is not possible to get a daily, timely, comprehensive written newspaper ... and my hearing is so poor that I can no longer depend on radio and television news coverage.

The current app for ipad cuts off the very last few words from each story. Other than that it is just fine.

I use this on my iPad when I’m not watching Fox News on TV. Just about every article ends abruptly before the end of the story. Not even a link to read it entirely.
All the articles are cut off at the end.

You read the article, get to the last word ( I assume) or possibly the final sentence and the article stops. You never can read the final piece/ point of the article. This needs to be fixed immediately or this app is not functional at all.
