To the functionality and accessibility, I would have given this app 5 stars. I really miss being able to work crossword puzzles. I would have awarded 4 stars for the puzzles themselves but I would have preferred if they were full square grids. 3 stars is because after completing the initial bundle of puzzles, and then the two upgrade purchases,I was hoping further purchases to be made available but none came. Very disappointed!

This app is great! I am completely blind, and I used to do crosswords with my grandmother. This is the first time I’ve gotten to do them since she has passed. I can’t fully express how much getting to do these means to me… Thank you so very much!

Oh, man! I’m not much of a game player but I used to like to help my mom do crossword puzzles, so finally I decided to give Four Down a try ... and what a wonderful surprise! So far I’ve completed the first one and I’m working on the second. Andy, I want to thank you very very much for making this app VoiceOver accessible, absolutely phenomenal job. I plan to buy additional puzzles soon. I don’t bother much about rating apps but doing so in this case is well worth the time.

Really challenging without the upfront easy cues. Only change I'd like is to have puzzles grouped easy-med-hard. Way better than some I've paid for!

I love doing crossword puzzles, and since the IPhone came in to my life, I have been looking for a crosword puzzle app that was accessible for blind users. This app works wonderfully with voice over, and the developer of this app is more than willing to make this app voice over friendly. This app is for anyone who loves the challenge of a crossword puzzle. I look forward to future updates to this app and more puzzles.

I have never enjoyed crossword puzzles in my life, but I have somehow become completely addicted to this app! A great time-waster, and fully accessible with voiceover. I hope the intent is to continue providing new puzzles in future releases.

This is a beauty. It looks great, crisp and clear. Great layout on both iPhone and iPad. Seamless sync across both devices. I bought the add'l puzzles thru IAP before even finishing the first puzzle. Very good difficulty level.
