Useful app for parents... Could be better for kids.
A CC Mom
If you're a CC parent, and your child is going for Memory Master, or you carry your iPad everywhere, this is a helpful app for reviewing the material, and always having the memory work on you for car trips, random review time, etc. In general, it's an attractive app too, and can make at-home review a little more fun for the kids who just love playing with the iPad. But, this app could be awesome for the kids too, first, by adding the timeline song-- just like the excellent Presidents' song slide show-- but also, by adding functions like making the geography more interactive with maps the kids can match to the countries, or having some kind of review games for different subjects I ended up using it a lot, but mostly for Mem. Master drilling, and general review. When given time to play educational apps on mom's iPad, the kids would never choose this app. It's a very useful tool for straight review, or for mom to have the work handy, but not very interactive for the kids.

Pros: -Undeniably handy to review any time, any place. -Possibly a good option for families who don't own the audio CDs...as long as you're aware of the cons. Cons: -Too expensive. This is a very simple app with basically the same content as the audio CDs with the exception of... -There's no timeline song. Very disappointing. -IMHO, the small amount of content in addition to the basic memory work and songs wasn't particularly useful. Would I purchase a cycle 3 app? -I'm honestly not sure even though I really want to like it! Yes, cycle 2 was handy, but so many apps out there are considerably more sophisticated for just a couple of dollars. I can't help but wonder what makes this one so much. Without additional content, I'm just not sure the convenience was worth it unless we opt to get it instead of the more complete CDs.

I am a CC parent, I use the app all the time, and I love it! My husband has a job that requires a lot of travel, and we travel to see family, having a portable option for CC is wonderful! Please HURRY with Cycle 3!

I love CC and I love this app but I don't understand why cycle 3 has not been released??? Please release the cycle 3 app so we can use it this year with our children! It certainly makes my school day so much easier. Thanks!
Very Pricey For Basic Product

I love CC. I understand the pricing naturally keeps the app exclusive to CC users. However, at this price tag, the app most definitely should include the time line song, as well as all songs CC uses along side the weekly memory work (i.e. the preposition song). I agree with many reviewers that this app could be more useful to the student by incorporating interactive features: geography, math, quizzing. This is another platform in which people not familiar with CC get a peek at CC's definition of classical education, making it more dialectic with interaction supports their premise.

If you participate in CC, then this is a really useful tool. My children use this app daily to review their memory work.
