Foscam Alarm Control

The FosCam Alarm Control App is used to enable or disable the alarm on a FosCam (compatible) camera. When the camera is connected to the internet this can be done from any location and if the camera is connected only to a local network, local network access (WiFi) is needed to control the camera. Basically, you can switch the alarm off when you arrive at your home or office just before you enter the room or building, and switch it back on when you leave.

At this time, most FosCam cameras are supported because FosCam uses standard ways of communicating with their cameras. It'll also work on some other brands that use the same communication standards as FosCam. If you have a camera that is working, please let us know so we can add that model to the app. Also, if you have a model that's not working correctly, please contact us so we can get some details from you and add your camera model in a future update.

Crashes in iOS 9

I do have a FI9831P V2, but every time I try to enter local IP, the app crashes. iPhone 5c iOS 9.0.2. Also, how test a different camera?

Just what I was looking for! The Foscam Viewer app does not let you manually turn alarm on or off and I was looking for an app with this feature. After checking a few other apps, I finally settled on this one. It is a simple, functional app and works great for what I needed. A feature I would love to see added would be an audio notification as well. Currently, you can get an email notification from gmail through the Foscam app but unless the Gmail is open, the email does not open automatically, so would be great to receive a sound notification too. Crash issues have been fixed in the updated version so it's up and running again.
