- “Great artwork and a twist in the tale will have young readers loving this book.” The Herald Sun.

Food fight is a wonderfully bright original story which tells the story of Tim, a boy from earth and Sammy, a sausage from somewhere else altogether. They meet and instantly dislike each other, but are they so different after all?
As they work through their differences, Tim and Sammy deal with issues of one-sidedness, prejudgement, food intolerance and ultimately, conflict resolution all in a light heated, fun story.

Food Fight has been specially remastered for the iPad and iPhone/iPod Touch by Jelly Biscuits using the original illustrations and text from Glenn Melenhorst’s popular children’s book, with Glenn's input and feedback at every step (and even his voice for the read mode!). The collaboration has created an interactive experience to delight both young and old.

From the author: ‘I have received so many wonderful responses to the book that I am thrilled to re-release it to a wider audience and a brand new batch of young readers. I always write foremost to please myself so I hope you get a kick out of reading 'Food Fight' to your youngsters.’

Wonderful!
BigDupa

This is the nicest interactive story book I have purchased so far. Beautiful illustrations that all interact in some way, whether it be sound or motion. I have a 3 year old that refuses to eat vegetables and I'm hoping that after some time with this app things change. Either way this was a great purchase and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys this new format of children's stories. Great job!

A joy and a wonder!

Thanks for creating a model of perfection for interactive ebooks for children. Beautifully written, drawn, and executed. Plus really funny.

Just ok.

Nothing special here. Just a kids story to try to get kids to eat vegetables while making it fun. Graphics aren't anywhere near the hype. Other kid story apps are much better.

One of the best
Toaster Driver

I've read some other books on here and they've all felt bland...like they were just books placed onto iOS without much added. This book actually makes you tap around to FIND what's interactive. I loved the book and the bonus page after you find the five stars hidden in the book is a nice addition. I'd gladly pay this much for more like it. People complaining about the price have apparently never strolled through barnes and noble's children's section ;)

Wow TERRIBLE!!!!!
Stupid app, needs fixes

This is the worst book I've seen! Pros: The graphics are great. Cons: The book doesn't cover the whole screen which is a minor detail. The book is barely interactive at all. You have to randomly click all over the screen because half of the pages have little to no interaction. The interactions that it does have are extremely lame and not very creative at all. Also, not a big deal, but if your kid is young, it is hard for them to turn pages. Pay the extra dollar and get the Doctor Seuss books. They have everything that I just listed. Advice: Add an option to auto play the book to the viewer. And add background music. Spice it up a little!

Disappointing

I expected more animation. This app has also some technical problems, on my friends 2G iPhone with the 3.1.3 iOS it didn't want to start. Personally I would recommend the "Noodle Princess" by Ridili, also about food and diet, packed with effects.

Stunningly creative

This story is unlike anything I've seen before. Amazing, unique visuals with an off the wall story line that my kids both love (4 and 6). The interactivity is just about right : not at all distracting from the story or gratuitous like some other titles, and also just enough scarcity so that kids have to hunt for it - which they love doing! Note to parents: this is an interactive story that you read with your younger kids since there's no voice track. My eldest likes reading it to his sister. My advice is that you ignore the negative reviews here and grab a copy while it's cheap!

What a great app
joe spat

A lot of fun and very well illustrated with fun interactivity. Good luck with this app I would even payed more for it. I am now a fan an look forward to more fun books like it... I should probably read it to my kid now. I was hoarding it. The graphic are great too. I have been in the animation field for ten years paint backgrounds and who ever says it not quality work is ridiculously wrong.

Fun for kids

My 3 year old and 6 year old loved it. Good sound effects and great graphics! Make for a good bedtime story.

Nice update
Scarboroughfamily

Update - App maker listened to feedback and addressed many of my complaints. Well done! Changed to 5 stars. Original review - This app isn't bad, but there isn't much here. There is no vocalized narrative, which most kids' book apps have now. No games or puzzles. I just feel a bit mislead by all the "reviews" saying it's so great when it's just ok. I'd give it 4 stars if it were only .99 but 1.99 doesn't seem to hold it's value compared to the Disney books.
