I use it all the time- at work and for writing projects

Drone baby drone.

I use Focus@will often. I’m a writer and I frequent many cafes and public spaces for work. Several of the channels are good for day to day use. But, I am always impressed with how the sound of a propeller can soothe the annoying-ness of a crowd.

Listened to it last night and slept like a baby. Coincidence? I don’t think so Please add more soothing sounds to the Sonos app!

Focus@Will is Amazing

Whenever I find myself distracted, either with wandering thoughts or distractions around me, I plug in my headphones and turn on Focus@Will. After about 5-10 minutes, I’m focused on what needs to get done. Whenever I feel like it’s taking too long to get into focus, or sometimes before I begin using Focus@Will, I will use their channel recommender, which consists of a couple of simple question. Then, I receive the perfect recommendation of a channel for that moment and I get back to work.

Worth it

I love this app. I began using this during grad school when I had to spend 8+ hours a day studying. I still use it now as a professional. It’s great to listen to while reading both recreationally and for more technical topics. Also great for all kinds of work. It’s easily worth the reasonable price and highly recommend it.

Focus gives you focus and no BS

I heard these beautiful tunes coming from my friend’s room in NYC and discovered it was Focus@will. I instantly tried it a couple of years back and it’s my go to background music when I am working or reading a book. Hats off you folks. Please continue innovating here!!

Perfect for open offices

Davidbl2013

I’ve been using Focus at Will for four years and attribute much of my productivity to this amazing app. I work in a loud open office. Without the specially-designed music provided by Focus at Will, I would be unable to get anything done. But with my headphones and the desktop app, I can plow through the most demanding project. Until open offices are a thing of the past, I consider this an office essential.

always on

I was introduced to focus@will at a conference for health wellness and tech entrepreneurs. F@W was providing the soundtrack for the entire event and shared a bit about the data and research behind it. I was very impressed and started listening at home while working - a few years later I have pretty much exclusively used this tool to work, study, and create ambiance at home. The founder Will is an audio genius and I’ve been impressed with how much work and research they pour into this product.

I think you could get more for money in app?

So, let’s start this off by saying I am invested in this app enough to pay for a subscription. I am an adult in academia and have been diagnosed with ADD. Toggling between tasks and managing several aspects of my career make it difficult for me to focus on research and paper writing- elements essential to my career. On top of it all, i have a cubicle in a shared office space room and it is so easy to lose focus and get distracted from deep work. I got interested in this app after a Reddit suggestion, read about it, and was interested in the evidence- and research-based aspect. I’ve found that certain music in this app really does help boost my productivity. I gave it four stars because the whole concept is very helpful but it could be better. I also don’t normally write reviews, but I’m going to pay for the subscription and now I’m invested to see this get better. So, I’m writing this in hopes the developers take some suggestions to heart. Since this is also a data-driven app, my suggestions could be possible to implement. First, it would be helpful to see number of productivity sessions each day in a bar chart. Second, it would be helpful if the developers allowed space for users to record what they worked on during the productivity session. For example, # words written. It might also be helpful to have a smiley face for users to click on to indicate how they felt. This goes with years on productivity diaries for academic writing, but could be applied to other fields. At the minimum, it is helpful that we can record percent of productivity so that this could be applied to all workers, but it’d be nice if there were more specific work tracking options. Third, when my phone gets interrupted, such as with a phone call, the tracking stops. Please program this so that this partial session was recorded. In conclusion, my take is that if you are going to spend almost $100/year on this, more data tracking elements could be incorporated into the app.
