I’ve been on Foap for two years. And I feel like it’s been a complete waste of my time. I’ve sold two pics, which I’m ok with, I can’t make ppl buy my pics. I have 1500 followers which is also great BUT I feel like the missions show favoritism and I’m not given a fair shot. I’ve always followed the rules and of course I don’t expect to win every time as there are amazing photographers on here but the fact that my pics shows the same content of other photographers and my pics don’t even get a chance to be selected to be put in the missions is completely unfair! I’ve submitted my model releases for a mission and posted pics pertaining to the mission but according to Foap it still has to be approved. What’s there left to approve? I’ve done everything I needed to do! I’ve submitted my model release and posted the same type of pics that other photographers have posted but I have yet to see my pics apart of the missions. So since I’m not going be given a fair chance to compete I will no longer waste my time ✌?

I enjoy this app. It has several ways to interact concerning photography. The missions challenge photographers to try new things.

The app does exactly as advertised. Will you sell a photo? Who knows, but after using the app for over a year it's clear the photos that sell are usually everyday activities. While photos of sunsets, mountains, waterfalls, and your pets are nice, they are like opinions, everyone has one. I have sold a photo. I enjoy the app!

I love foap! It is a great app for those who love photography and those who don't. I have been with foap for one year, and haven't sold a picture yet but hope to soon! I find that many pictures that sell are interesting and cool textures. Looking forward to many more years of improving my camera skills using this app. ?

UPDATE: Minutes after I wrote this, I was finally able to sign up, and really like it so far! Very user friendly, easy to navigate. Downloaded the app, tried to sign up. It wouldn’t even let me activate my account. It was impossible to set a password, even on the website. Too bad, was really looking forward using this app.
Impossible to gain exposure

FOAP is really good collaborative app for new or amateur photographers but DO NOT expect to make any $$. Entering Missions are a waste of time, only the “favorites” have their photos accepted and it’s always the same users who win. Out of over 300o photos, only one of mine has sold. I’ve sold many more photos on other stock photography sites. FOAP does not have an actual website accessible to photographers either. The 2 star rating is more than generous for FOAP.

So I have not sold any photos yet but I love the concept of the app and I think it’s a great way to show and sell your art as a photographer. I just wish uploading a picture wasn’t difficult. I take all my photographs from my dslr camera and none of my photos from my professional camera won’t upload to the app even if I do resize it.
