Game looks great but...

Memowtheassassinkitty

I'm really hopeful for this game, it looks incredibly fun! The thing is, I can't even play. Every time I try to start the app, it says there was an error with checking for updates and tells me to try again, and then does the same thing over and over. The game looks like such a great game, and I would love to actually be able to play sometime! :)

love butterflies and love this game

Butterfly ????

Hi I love this game because it has butterflies in it and I love catching butterflies in real life to so this game is just right for me. Not only that but when you are having trouble with the game you can contact the runaway player support for help which is AWESOME but in all in all this game describes me. And I just can't get over the cuteness of the caterpillars ? eeeeeekkkkkk soooo CUTE I LOVE LOVE BUTTERFLIES AND LOVE LOVE THIS GAME

Fun Game

MaddieKaye

I really enjoy this game, the butterflies are fun to collect and it’s easy to play without being forced to spend money. Ads aren’t pushed at you, but you can watch them to earn in-game rewards, which I like. Only three stars because the flower events are awful. You get max 2 event flowers every 2-3 hours, most of the time I only get one and often I get zero. The frog delicacies don’t even guarantee you event flowers, usually you just end up with higher value non-event flowers. Not even worth playing the flower events. Wisp events are much much better, imo.

Flutter

Graveyard Dust

This game is whole heartedly one of my favorites ever. I use it as a stress and anxiety reliever to calm me down and chill out sometimes. But also just something to go to when I'm bored. The music is so soothing so playing it before bed makes me sleepier sometimes. I love that all the butterflies are real species so it's educational too! Best game ever ??

Please please fix!!!

Amazing! Plus a suggestion!

Zachary Clement

This game is extremely original, doesn’t crash, and has adorable graphics. The concept of it is amazing. I’m 12 and I love this game. Now, my suggestion. Lower the prices on clearing follage. It’s really, really expensive. I have Flutter: Starlight too and it doesn’t cost 1,000 to remove follage one out of 5 times. Plus, just came up with this while typing, I thought of a cool new game idea too! Flap: Bird Sanctuary. The normal mechanics of the flutter series but change the currencies?

Eh...

LONG review ahead! I really enjoy this game. Honestly. But as I have experienced from playing over many years, (I first played this on my 3G), it has changed a lot. And not particularly in a good way. The basis of the game is simple and enjoyable, and the graphics are bright without being overbearing. It’s fun to collect and learn about butterflies. There are a couple quite serious flaws that keep this from a 5 star rating. One is account transferability. The Lilac butterfly that costs $10 as an in game purchase? I used to have that butterfly; I got it from a random epic summons back when I played a long time ago. Said account was no longer accessible when I switched IPhones, which is very disheartening. Here I will refer to another of my favorite breeding/collecting games, DragonVale, which I also have been playing on and off since my 3G phone years. Unlike flutter, DragonVale stored my data in the App Store, and I can now play on either of my DragonVale accounts, and my extensive dragon list gets saved so I don’t have to worry about losing my collection of 200+ Dragons. The second issue I have with flutter is the game content. Though the seasonal events keep coming, the actual content of the game is fairly limited, and the publishers have not introduced new content since the time this app was compatible with 3G iPhones. The events are EXCRUCIATINGLY difficult to finish, especially if the sets have more than 4 butterflies, which they often do. (Note: I much preferred when you could obtain set flowers through random blooms[back when they were MUCH more prolific] as opposed to the Wisp system they currently use for events) Again I will compare Flutter to Dragonvale; apart from the RARE exception, most dragons in Dragonvale can be bred or obtained through the wishing well, which you can activate just by coming back for 100 days. (Not even in a row!) Even limited dragons can be bred during the big year’s-end event (which has occurred yearly since its institution) The events work rather differently as well; the player collects limited-time currency, which can then be exchanged for various prizes, including dragons (that can also be bred after the limited time event is over during the year-end event) They are also constantly introducing new permanent content that makes coming back to the game after weeks or even months of inactivity a real joy. The third is the MONETIZING I have seen: pay to unlock this limited decoration, pay to get this butterfly to unlock new sets, pay to get flutter bucks or pay to get wisps, nets, ect. to help you finish the event. Though Dragonvale has this to some extent, it’s not like the content is locked behind paywalls. You don’t need to pay any real cash to finish an event, and the limited dragons aren’t gone forever once an event is over. I came back to flutter because I got nostalgic about the early versions of the game and seeing where the game had gone piqued my interest. Disappointingly, I can’t say there have been a lot of improvements. The major thing I would change about this game is giving players access to event sets that are 2+ years old, albeit with reduced abilities. This way, players could not only experience more but also find new joy in playing. Please consider this as you continue to update, and I await future content. ?

Beautiful game!

SkHebert

Very peaceful and puts me in a good mood. The design of it seems pretty flawless to me. I wouldn’t change anything except maybe the fact that dew doesn’t accumulate over night. That’s very frustrating. But who knows—that may be a function unlocked later in the game.
