Great App
Tsworlando

This app came out the day before I left for a 5 day trip to Florence and decided to give it a try. It was by far the most useful of the 6 Florence apps that I used. Had no need to carry a book around since all of the information you needed was here. The only suggestion I would have is in the day trip maps I iwish they were enlargeable, like the other maps. If you can only buy 1, this is it.

Florence City Travel Guide

I would have expected far better from a five-dollar application. It was basically just a short summary of historic sites with little practical information. Very disappointing. Not at all helpful. I should have saved my money and bought the family another round of gelato.

Not worth the money...
Disappointed traveller

If this app were $0.99 I'd probably still feel ripped off. The GPS mode crashes every time you click a point of interest, there are no restaurant reviews (and hardly any restaurants noted), and the historical/cultural reviews are no better than the free Rick Steves excerpts from the Italy guide. Save your money until the price comes down and they provide drastically better content!

Not ready for prime-time

The Florence app was a real letdown. 1. The Uffizi gallery material wouldn't download after days of trying and 2 requests for support. Nada. Not even an automated reply. 2. The city material is just a toy at best. You must be online for any AR functionality, not easy in a town where stone walls are 3 feet thick. Then it displays everything from a foot to a mile away on top of each other. When you select something, all you get is a name, no details no reviews nada. I want my money back.

Dissatisfied is an understatement

When I first downloaded this app (for $5) I was able to view everything, the 1,2, 5 day tours, food, maps etc. I open it now and all I'm able to get is the summary of a few places to see. It cost another $2 to get back what I originally bought. This is the biggest rip off. I don't understand how an app can take away what you bought and recharge you for it. I want my money back.

Save your money

This app took way too long to download. I have the Newest iPhone and it took over an hour to download. Unacceptable. Also, it says it Can be used offline, not! This was a waste of money and time.

Some potential for a serviceable app, but...

Minor "bug" update was probably just an attempt to bury negative reviews. This app is still junk! To me it appears that the main purpose of this app is just to get you to purchase module after module after module, etc. The "Full" Florence guide does not include the Cathedral guide. So, I buy it, but, it doesn't include the Uffizi guide, so you must buy it, etc. and, the Tuscany guide is also extra. You spend half your time trying to figure out what to purchase to get what you want. Talk about a circular retail experience!! The maps (that are extra) are rudimentary and practically useless. My advice: save your money and go buy a beer, you will be infinitely happier!
