i love using this app to animate i even paid for a full version, however there is a serious lack of brushes. as far as i am aware there’s no way to import them either. every other aspect of this program is great though !

Absolutely Astonishing

FlipaClip was the first way I ever learned how to animate. It is highly convenient compared to other animation apps. The majority of criticism it receives is from people who haven’t completely mastered the controls of the app. Especially considering that this is also the first way many others make an attempt in animation. It’s no surprise that people would get frustrated at the app at times but FlipaClip isn’t at fault here. FlipaClip allows you to do so many things that other animating apps wouldn’t allow you to do. This is an app that I highly suggest. If you are a beginner and are concerned that it may be hard to understand, you should simply follow any tutorials on YouTube or in the app for support. This may sound hard but it’s something needed if you are truly passionate about animation. This app truly is the best that you can get for free and to get you started in animation.

I spent 12 hours

I spent 12 hours on a animation and I was at the final frame out of 150 of them and it all deleted honestly I’m really disappointed in this I use this app quite frequently now and my hard work that took a whole day was sent down the drain.

Really Laggy and Issues

I gotta say, Flipaclip is fun to use. Its really good for animation and slightly good for beginners. It took me awhile to learn all of the tools and stuff you use in the app. My experience with this app, after making 20/30 animations or more, it lags alot. It freezes and it also freezes on random ads and its annoying. Also, it randomly changes the volume and the volume bar on the side of the screen wont go away unless you close the app and go back into it. I wouldnt care if it let me do stuff when the volume is stuck on the side of the screen, but it doesnt let you do anything. Please fix this.

yeh I no

idc what to do but weird

i downloaded it it waz relly guud but the only ting is that ads pop out when i press somthing it give me fat ugly fart poop and PLEZE ATTEMPT THIS OR I WILL LLIK you

Pretty good app

As a beginner in animation, I think FlipaClip is an okay app to practice the fundamentals of animation. However, there are some features that could help... a lot. Like being able to control the streamline and taper, being able to make more than just 10 layers, being able to add more colours to a colour palette, clipping masks, layer groups, more brushes or the ability to make brushes, and being able to see more onion skinned layers so you could see if you're doing slow in and slow out or timing right. Onion skinning is mandatory if you want to learn easing and timing but you can only access the option to edit onion skinning with premium (which I bought) but it still doesn't give you enough control over the onion skinning, which is a huge problem. There are some features that I like. For example, being able to import audio into the app, but that's a given. However another feature I would like is a speedpaint one, where it could record the process of animating. I will say that flipaclip is mainly just an app that you'll have to get used to. You'll also have to know things about animation that could help with animating in any case, like timing charts. It's honestly a pretty good app and the first time I wrote a review about it I was being overly pessimistic.

Good place to start, but it’s not something you can use full time.

FlipaClip is a difficult app to use if you want to have any degree of professionalism. The limitations when it comes to the program ultimately hinder it instead of making it less user friendly. Procreate is the same price and is closer to industry quality, whereas FlipaClip (which only has the added feature of being able to implement audio) is far from it. Pros: Fairly easy to use Audio Cons: No line stabilizer (THIS IS THE ONE THAT BUGS ME THE MOST) Few brush options Layers locked behind paywall? Not super intuitive

I worked so hard on my project….and now I have to fully REDO IT BECAUSE I CAN ONLY ADD 3 FREAKING LAYERS. THANKS A LOT FLIPACLIP

A bit disappointing ?

The app was phenomenal but it didn't let me add more that three layers without paying, which was quite annoying to be honest, they should at least give you ten layers to start with. A lot of other things were pay to access and for people that don't want to pay, this is a very bad app.
