FleetMon Mobile is the companion app of our vessel tracking website that lets you look up ships and gives you instant access to the extensive vessel information of FleetMon.com, the open ship database.
A free account registration is recommended to make best use of FleetMon Mobile. You can register right within the app. It's free!
The list of your favourite vessels will then be synchronised with your "My Fleet" list on FleetMon.com! This way FleetMon Mobile makes it easy to stay up-to-date about your fleet, even when you are underway.
Search for your specific vessel of interest and store it into your MyFleet for alerting and monitoring . Inspect name, type, speed, draught, deadweight and destination of searched vessels, their schedule and recent port calls. The table views provide details on actual times of arrival and departure.
Awesome ship photos contributed by the FleetMon.com ship spotter community are also included in a easy swipe gallery.

Visibility of vessels in the App depends on AIS signal availability. Subscribers of our "Unlimited Sat" plans are able to locate (almost) any active vessel in the world through satellite AIS, while standard plans offer near-shore coverage only. CASE WON IN COURT CHINESE ILLEGAL LANDGRABBING AND NAMING OF THESE SHOALS and ARTIFICIAL ISLANDD ON SOMEBODY’s COUNTRY EEZ SHOULD NOT BE ADOPTED AS TRUE. PLEASE REMOVE THOSE CHINESE NAMES LABELED ON THOSE ISLANDS. PLEASE BE ADVISED.

Zooming and out zooming is too fast. Couldn’t find the coordinates of the ships. Not user friendly. I canceled my monthly subscription.

They make it look like you can track ships on maps in real time, but for 99 cents you don't even get to see a map, just lat. & long. Search feature is weak and returns incomplete results.

Does not show any ship outside of US waters!!! I bought this to see nearby ships during a cruise and it stopped working after the first day!! Also much of the data is out of date !!

This app does not work. It's junk. I'm not saying it needs work I'm saying it doesn't work. It's a ripoff,garbage waste of time. Not worth a penny. I want my money back. I've owned it for 3 minutes and can say without doubt it's the worst app I have ever seen. The only effort here is to get your money. Run away

The app is working fine on both my iPad and iPhone 3GS. Coverage in Norfolk, VA is good. As more reporting stations share data, the value of this and other like programs will grow.

Updated 3/13/11 - not sure what developer did but this thing is working 100% for NYC/Newark area. Gtrax has bit the dust and ShipFinder is also running correctly. $24.99 still seems crazy. Does not work in NYC/ Newark Bay/Elizabeth, NJ. They have those areas listed but this and Ship Finder are just plain Bad. I purchased gTrax and it works. They show 18 vessel types and when it shows 50+ vessels the other two POS show nothing.
