Excellent tool for learning a foreign language. After I master Italian I may move onto one of the other 3 dozen languages the app supports. Being able to listen to each phrase in the language I chose, accelerated my learning dramatically! Using this app on my 2017 iPad with ios 11.2

Not Quite That Good

I’ll tell you all why and that is that after some time Apps at the App store no-longer work, are compatible or the developer forgets about it because they can no-longer afford it. This brings me to a point in this App that needs to be in the next update and that is the ability to share, save and/or print the cards made. Why? Simple if the App no-longer works all the cards made will be lost. If the cards can be saved or printed so an index card file can be created the process of studying can still be accessible even if the developer loses the App. At this point in-order to share or keep the cards made the App is needed. Printing would be a major plus.

Suggest Improvements, They Listen!

12/19/2017 These guys are outstanding. Why? Attached is an explanation of the past issues I have encountered with this app. The developers worked systematically to address the listed issues encountered. When they were addressed, I received personal e-mails and updates from them. Their first try was unsuccessful, but they kept trying, and eventually solved the issues. This app is amazing, but like anything, it too could use some improvements. Here are some suggestions: 1) Allow for yellow highlighting. There are many colors available for highlighting text on the notecards; however, yellow is not one of them. 2) Allow for MacBook interface. This app is currently only supported by mobile phone users. Opening a MacBook / Laptop interface would augment this program’s performance, as well as help students. 3) Fix copy and paste issue. Most copy and paste issues have been resolved. However, I have found a minor issue under this category. The app will not allow one to copy and paste words from the front side of notecards to other notecards’ front side. ——- PREVIOUS DISCUSSION— RESOLVED ISSUES This app is incontrovertibly the most quintessential notecard app available. I have used it for years, and I have even used it to successfully become a charter jet pilot. Recently, I have encountered issues with pasting information from copied sources. I have done much troubleshooting prior to writing this review, but to no avail. For instance, I copied a highlighted segment from a PDF document. I then attempted to paste what was highlighted. I could on an e-mail or an e-notepad, but not on this app unfortunately. I did not notice his issue until iOS 11. Please address this issue, and I will happily give this app the review it should deserve—five stars. UPDATE: Chegg, I found the problem. The aforementioned troubleshooting procedures failed to yield results; however, something else did. My phone settings were in Dutch, another language I speak. When my phone settings are in English, the copy and paste function work flawlessly. When the settings are in Dutch, it does not work. Maybe this is an issue that should be looked into? POST iOS 11 UPDATE: Chegg, well done addressing the issue of copying and pasting on individual notecards. There is progress, but there is a new issue. Before, one could copy and paste on the front of the notecard, but not on the back of it. After the update of 11/25/2017, one can now copy and paste on the back of the notecard; however, the copy and paste function has been rendered inoperative on the front of the notecard. If this issue is addressed, this app will be flawless.
